About TV Tuner/Capture USB Devices

First off, my motherboard does not allow any TV Capture "cards" to function properly...the system freezes completely when I try to use them. Now I've tried literally atleast 50 ways to solve the problem and it still wasnt fixed. (i even tested the same 2 capture cards on other systems and they worked fine!)

Ok, now I was wondering if the "usb" Tv Capture devices would work with my system? I do have USB 2.0 and that "U" stands for Universal. Webcams works fine with my system as well. This brings me to question, would the
"ATI TV Wonder USB 2.0 TV Tuner" or "LifeView TV Walker Lite, USB 2.0 TV Box" work on my system?

do other usb devices work? maybe the usb drivers aren't installed (properly). :unsure:

yea, every usb device I put on here works..
The PCI cards seem to give problems.
Even after a format while back...long story

oh sorry i thought u were using a usb one.
try going into the bios and have a look around maybe there's some setting in there that wcould be changed to fix this.

a USB tv tuner would probably work.

bios has been checked numerous times.
I'm hopeing usb will work :-)...the webcam does for now anyways.

btw, wonder which I should buy. Anyone know the different between those two? I know the other one (non-ATI) includes a remote..which is pretty cool

I've got a WinFast PVR, PCI card.

Are you dead set on chosing between those two because I've heard only good things about Hauppauge WinTV USB.
