MGS3 Load Error

Any one having difficulties loading/running MGS3? I have had 2 copies of the game and they won't load... PS2 just goes to that browser screen, shows the disc. when I select the DVD icon to load it goes to a blank screen and then just returns... HELP?! I can't wait to play!!

looks like your ps2 is having problems reading disks

Do you happen to have a modchip or any boot discs?
