Best Compression Format

Im making a torrent with alot of video clips. About 100 of them totaling over 12 GB. :w00t:

What format is the best to compress all this down to? .asf? Xvid?

Xvid/Divx is a good format, It would be best to leave the video clips in the format that there are now on your computer if there are already compressed.

I like divx/xvid but my system seems to crash when I try to convert stuff to it.
