Just had a right unexpected bonus. Just checked my onloine banking to see if I had £10 left in my account that I could take out and I discovered that I got my giro yesterday :01:

Unemployment and associated benefits..

They used to be paid via a Giro Cheque (one that could be cashed at the Post Office), and we still call 'em Giro's, even though they arent paid that way anymore...
