Viewmgr.exe

has appeared on my pc and keeps trying to access the internet :unsure:

I assume it is spyware, can anyone shed any light on this pls. :helpsmili

ad aware , spywareblaster and spybot all show up nothing :no:

It isnt spyware, it comes on all PC's.

Not spyware, you can easily uninstall it anyways.

Question: Why didn't you try to ADD-REMOVE programs, or even search google before you posted?

I was being overly cautious

I did check google, but couldn't work out where it had cropped up from.

I didn't want to remove it until I was sure it wasn't going to mess something else up.

It's all gone now. In case anyone else has this prob, add remove does not get rid of all the components you have to manually delete some of them then clean your reg.

Okay I didnt mean to get down on you. I just think it is funny how everyone thinks this is spyware, when it is just like flash player.

I think it gets installed with AIM. Can be removed, but certain features can't be used if you don't have it, like those AIM greetings.

EDIT: it CAN be removed, typo.

Well I uninstalled it just fine, and this guy got rid of it just fine. So I dont think it is quite that stubborn? ;)
