Calling brainy people

Ok I never did understand all this kbs shit, but I wanted to know my upload, I been told it's 256kbps, ok fair enough, I then asked what upload I get, is that about 26k/bs, he just kept saying it's 256kbps :frusty: FFS!!!

So please could someone explain to me what 256kbps is in upload terms?

i thought this was the Temporary Moderation

256kb = 32kB - ~10% overheads

b=bits B=bytes

8b=B

and i always said when will i need algebra in real life

Though, the reality will be any upload will flucuate. My max upload is 48kB/s but it rarely gets that high... :dry:

Yeah I know it fluctuates, I get an average of 28-30, I just needed to know my max and did'nt know for sure how to work it out.
