Re: Oscar nominations 2004
wow aviator has a lot of nominees. i downloaded and watched it, frankly, i didn't like it at all. wasn't anything i expected it to be, waste of bandwidth and time :(
Re: Oscar nominations 2004
As usual, the nominees were a bit shady. None of the movies nominated made any real money. Finding Neverland will prolly be very good, as will Million Dollar Baby. However, the box office will tell us what is most popular.
Re: Oscar nominations 2004
***my predictions****
Best Picture:
The Aviator
Finding Neverland
both of them very good movies... but gotta give it to finding neverland... very touching movie, johny depp is one of my favorites actors (if not my favorite) and 'cmon... its peter "freakin'" pan!!!
ACTOR IN A LEADING ROLE:
Johnny Depp - FINDING NEVERLAND
:01:
ANIMATED FEATURE FILM:
THE INCREDIBLES
:01: :01:
CINEMATOGRAPHY:
HOUSE OF FLYING DAGGERS .....not sure what it is... but i liked that movie...so ... :01:
VISUAL EFFECTS:
I, ROBOT
SPIDER-MAN 2 .... can't decide....
kinda weird that spiderman 2 wasn't nominated that much...
Re: Oscar nominations 2004
spider-man 2 wasnt that good compared with other movies like:
The Aviator
Finding Neverland
Ray
Million Dollar Baby
watched The Aviator yesterday. great movie, but I hope they won't win all 11 oscars.

just czo something dozen;'t make money doesn't mean its crap. apart form titanic and LOTR not many money making movies win academy awards.
Best movie will goto the aviator martin scorasee is dam Right overdue!! hes been robbed to many times raging ball for instance
Leo will win best actor (yes hes a pretty boy doesn't mean he can't act)
Best lead Hillary Swank but the academy works in a turn based not many woman win More then 2 Oscars!! Kate winslett will probably get the turn.
have a look when Denzel won not Russell crowe yeah Denzel was way over due but Russell performance was brilliant and better )its was also the black attack year Helle Belle and Denzel washington lets give it to teh blacks yeah ) maybe thsi yeah its forgen films turn?? who knows
best acress support
Kate Blanchett another who's due and her performance was outstanding was like watching the real Katherine!
Its also Morgan Freemans turn to win i hope he gets the best support role
problem with academy's is as i said a turn based system all Pachino won for a shit movie (can;'t remember what it was called ) after he was nominated for lots and lots of other much BETTER performances

yep agree 100%
Re: Oscar nominations 2004
Best Actor - Jamie Foxx in Ray
Re: Oscar nominations 2004
Personally, I think Open Water should have gotten a nomination. It cost almost nothing to make, and was very exciting.
