what does "Source" means.
I've been trying some game downloads and stuff, and I've noticed that some titles are acompanied by the word "source",
for exmaple this one, "Counter Strike Source 1.8.1. EASY INSTALER FULL ONLINE",
Could someone tell me what it means?
or, is it actualy the game?(its like 500MB)
Re: what does "Source" means.
www.steampowered.com
Source is slapped on the end of Games that are made by Valve and use the Source graphics engine (par HL2 whihc is just called HL2)

It uses the Source engine which is what runs Half-Life 2. Counter-Strike Source and Half-Life Source are updates of the old games with the new graphics engine "means".
Re: what does "Source" means.

I understand now.
I had the game and it instaled and played without truble,
would it be safe to think that the source vertion will play too?
*(I don't have any advanced Video Card. Just a 32MB Integrated)

Re: what does "Source" means.
source, as in: "would you like some ketchup and mustard on that hotdog?"
all Valve's new games have the source suffix because they are a bit tastier
