Ultra-Slow BT Downloads!! need help bad!!!

Ok, Here's my problem. I have a cable internet connection. For any direct FTP/HTTP downloads it works perfectly, but for any Kazaa or BitTorrent downloads it goes at a constant 2 KB. i understand its not gonna go at my max speed, but on my previous computer i could get 40 KB and sometimes even 100 KB occacionally.

What is my problem? The connection is wireless to my laptop, I'm using a wireless router, and all firewalls are turned OFF.
