when u visit bbc page, the latest news is displayed at the top.

Is this done using Javascript or something else. Can I find the code somewhere

What kind of coding are you using for your site? is it in php/mysql? (that is the easiest way).

php/mysql is for kiddies. I am using advanced stuff like asp.net and mssql

ive wanted to use that ticker as a sig for ages but stilll have no clue how to implement it

well i don't know how it works but basically just call the news or whatever from the database but add a limit of 1 to it so it only grabs the newest news.
I dont know how to write that in asp.net/mssql. ;)
