Adware? Spyware? WTF?

Well,

I bought a new Processor and Motherboard. And I re-installed windows, deleting everything. And now I've installed some of the needed programs, but what I find is that even though I've installed, updated and ran Adware I still get this stupid message:

I know its fake coz Windows would make it seem more complicated and etc.

How to disable Windows Messenger Service:

XP Home

1. Click Start->Settings ->Control Panel
2. Click Performance and Maintenance
3. Click Administrative Tools
4. Double click Services
5. Scroll down and highlight "Messenger"
6. Right-click the highlighted line and choose Properties.
7. Click the STOP button.
8. Select Disable or Manual in the Startup Type scroll bar
9. Click OK

XP Pro

1. Click Start->Settings ->Control Panel

5. Scroll down and highlight "Messenger"

Done and thank you. Will this also Stop Windows Messenger from loading? ^_^;

No problem :) and no, it will only disable the Windows Messenger Service, which is used (normally) by network admins to send out network downtime alerts, etc to thier intranet users.

It's completely different from MSN messenger the chat client, which won't be affected.

You must not have the sp2 updates ? Thought that was disabled by default.

theres a shortcut to all that....
right click the "my computer" icon and select "manage"
takes you right to the management console ;)
