Is it better to fade away or to abruptly demonstrate

As in a great party
is it better to
A - just quietly leave without disturbing the present activity
or
is it better
B- to exponentiatialy declare to the party that your evening is satisfied or non so and must depart
or
C-say your leaving, then hook up into new conversations and end up sailing a boat until dawn + extras etc

D

do what your mom does.
