MSN Bug

My friend got the bug where it says something like

Is this You?
http://randomsite.com/randomimagename.gif

It downloads a program and if you run it, it sends all the messages to everyone on you contact list. I got the message, but didnt open it. I sent it to my other friend, and like an idiot he opened it. So i was wondering how to fix it.

umm, boot into safe mode, run trojan, virus and spyware scanners, then run hijackthis! and remove any suspisious entries.
make sure it's gone from msconfig, delete the files, and restart. :)
should be gone.
