If you have Xp sp2 installed you know that windows now includes a security center, but the problem for me is that it can't detect my firewall (sygate 5.5). This is not much of a problem except for the fact that windows likes displaying an annoying pop-up warning everytime I startup the pc.
I'm using the same firewall and SP2 recognises it for me.
All I did was disable the SP2 one and left my normal on running. It picked it up fine. It also detected Norton Worm Protection too ;)
open security centre, click "change the way security centre alerts me", uncheck the firewall checkbox, should stop it from annoying you ;)
Actually, Sygate should have a specific update, available on their site or through it's updating service, that addresses that issue.
I completly disabled the Windows Firewall and Internet Connection Sharing Service.
My Computer --> Manage --> Services and Applications --> Services --> Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing --> Set to manual startup type or disable
