I know 9down.com always has ad-aware definitions posted not too sure about SS tho.
No, the only way to download them is through SpySweeper's "Update Definitions" option, and if you didn't buy it, it will only work when you first run the program.
What version ? Are you only running one , or do you have a back up ? Don't think I would what to use a program I can't update. Mabye D/L another free program like Microsofts or mabye a trial like Counterspy till you find a crack or serial for spysweeper. You can use more than one at the same time you know. Have you tryed uninstalling and running a regcleaner ,then try reinstalling ? :)
