Why is that when I try to download a song, I get a crapload of bogus files. When I preview them, they are all like 21 mins long. Obviously this can't be the song that I want?
Is there any way to get around this problem.
BTY, I am using Kazaa Lite K++ 2.4.3
Also, with K-Lite 2.7, I get lets say 127 users for a file, but they are like 5 people, listed a crapload of times, and I can't connect to any of them to download the file? What gives?

those are all FAKES! there is nothing you can do about that.

you can sometimes tell by the filesizes if the file size seems much too big or much to small it is probably fake
I've been using Torrent for several days now, but Im having the same problem. I want to find the people who put these either screwed up songs with scratches in them, or completely fake files and kick their ass. It's not funny when you spend two days downloading something to find out that it's a bogus file!

You don't have to worry about fake files and all that other crap when you find alternative filesharing methods. I haven't had to deal with a fake file in years because I no longer use the FT network.Quote:

If ur using kazaa, get K-Lite from http://www.my-k-lite.com
It comes with a built in fake file analize so u can avoid the fakes before u even start the download. Then, if ur downloading MP3s, u use the MP3Shield program along side of K-Lite to filter out the MP3 fakes (that got passed the first filter)..
But I just recommend using Ares to download music. Kazaa is for files other than music and movies. ;)

yeah.....Ares. slow but effevtive. I havnt had a problem withh fakes
I heard the labels are going to start attaching messages to those files. ugh so you get this pop message telling you to go buy or something like that.
