What is the diffrence between an "update" & a "security update"? I thought they were all security updates.

not all updates are security related, but most seem to be. so yea, I see what you mean :)
updates will probably be things like new media player versions, the windows journal viewer thing, etc.
security updates will be anything falling under "critical" in inwdows update.
I wonder what the policy will be on service packs and such.

Do you absolutely have to install something in between sp1 and sp2? 'cos I have installers for those at least.
Theres posts all thru this forum about changing your PID if you have XP pro corp.
