Need name of this artist from the late 80's
It featured a white guy who's gimmick was that he could mimic a drum kit. I think his hit song was called "Dum Da Da" but I'm not sure.
In the song, over a guy with a really deep voice singing "Dum Da Da, Dum Dum" over and over again, someone would play a fill on a drum kit and then the singer would mimic the same drum fill using his voice. He would sing things like "Boom chicka Boom. Boom chicka Boom. Boom.Boom.Boom.Boom.Boom.Splat!" when it was his turn. In a way it did match the drum fill.
It was cheesy, but catchy as hell. If anyone can remember the name of the artist I'd appreciate it.
cheers!

Nope, that isn't it. But thanks.
The band had a lead singer who was white and the music was faster. I believe it was a favorite of break dancers back then...
Thanks for trying though.
Cheers
update: Found it on the soundtrack for Breakin 2 Electric Boogaloo. It was George Kranz's "Din Dah Dah" Perfect.
