Hey,
Im working on a mod team and i want to add in the song voodoo child by jimi hendrix, but the leader says no copyrighted stuff. So i was wondering if anyone knew where i can get a version sung by someone else thats not copy righted, or where i can contact the owner and ask for permission.

that depends on what you do with them, the first one the licence has been paid for you to download it, i think you are responsable if you re-broadcast it in pubic or private?
the second one is open source audio, so you should be ok, But you might check with the copyright holders to be sure
