Its won virtually every race tonight. Its insane!


These are between all the big/fast 0day trackers including ScT, SCC, FTN (i checked myself), and some more.

Best of luck with that. Have you tried actually downloading from there? CT's pre's are largely academic if you have sct.

The pretimes are really great, but the content and speed isn't so great. That site has been around 2+ years.... and "Leechers 252" I think they are in it for the race, period.

Yeah, i was just suprized when i saw them win so many tonight.

I just thought that since they can get a DVDrip in 2 minutes which equals 5.27 mB/s (~42mb/s) they had a fast connection on the other side. I guess it does save money doing that...

edit: and i gotta say theyre doing it pretty good if they're just in it for the race. A few minutes/seconds isnt too important in the big picture, but it sure is fun to watch. :D

They're good in theory, but as a practical matter, not all that useful if you have better sites. They should get smaller (and they actually are planning a big purge at the end of feb).

the speed there is good only for .us

there's no point announcing release before competition if you have no pipes to support it.
real value is how fast you can GET the release after it hits the scene not how fast can you START getting it. so stuff from sct will get burned and off the drive long before same stuff from ct even finishes downloading...

yup, very true. in fact, i have logs of the old #TRacers where both the CT and ST admins (seethe42 and Szentigrade) both admitted that they're just there to "shame" ScT ('cos you know, ScT brags about pre-times but that was back in the day... they've slowed down just a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitle bit).

you leech a 350MB rls from them 1min after it has pred but you'll finish it in about 15mins. ScT or Ft.N uploads the same rls 30sec-1min after CT (or even ST) but you'll finish downloading it in under 5mins.

pretimes are great but to me, it's all about how fast you get it from the tracker to your home PC's HDD (and that site's community).

Tracers and maybe torrent sites should have an alternate pre.

1st snatch would be a good way to measure...

Someone would have to write the rss for that, it would likely be unreliable, and would put more load on the tracker.

Don't you have FTN? It's the only site I can reliably get things to seed on ScT.

If you check !stats in #Tr you c many diffrents trackers like CT , ST , PP many more ... beat #Sct thats become grandma in Pre-times ,i do agree with you thats you finnished it in FTN before it will be leaked to sct :naughty: .
acutally FTN is the topsite in questions of Pre and speed with small userbase

Hmm Not really sure what to say..

This Whole Thread seems to BOW To FTN.... Being the owner of CT i should say a few choice words but im a nice guy.. We put rls up as fast as we can, as for speed yes .us is prolly going to be the fastest as we use 2 .us gbit seed boxs.. Slow speeds? not sure the problem there. i get my max at home 1.3mb/s..

We are working on building the perfect user DB but its slow going.. We don't have 12k+ users like ST and ScT but most our users are good users and not leechers.. In Feb we did disable 300 accounts All which were leechers..

We at CT will continue to Upload What we think our Users want and what users request.

Fake site owners, that's an interesting allegation, considering everyone knows PaDrO and I own CT. FTN are just mad cause they're slower on pretime and seeding speeds.

I have noticed FTN's been a little slow lately myself. And I've been getting better speeds from CT lately. And CT doesn't harass me if I don't seed for 72 hours. I can def see myself using CT more in the future.

You guys use .us boxes? Isn't that risky?

:lol: Hardly the case. FTN is fine with the pretimes and seeding speeds. If we're slow on some torrents, then so be it. Either way, its +1 for the users (fast or free).. I'm content with how things are run on FTN. We're not only in it for the fast pre's (one of the factors, but not the only factor)
