this is weired, i just got my vista which i won from my ISP and since i have vista cracked am thinking to sell it, its worth some 400$ i also got office home edition with it.
what you guys think should i sell it and earn some bucks or keep it till sp1 and see whether MS can crack down on the cracks or since JP is ghey i should gift him this.
Remove the cracked one and install the pukka one, including office.
there wont be any thing special about the Original one, it would be waste.
How would it be a waste. It means you can get all the updates etc without any hassle or worrying about it.
so far there is no hassle, everything is running like a virgin.

Willdo, I see no huge reason to change unless someone can tell me what's improved in Vista.
It's mostly just tweaks and gimmicks, most of which tend to slow you down, or at least give the impression of slowing you down...

I like it, as far as using it goes there isn't really that much of a notable difference apart from how it looks rly. Tho' I do like the new search function in the start menu, it saves a lot of pissing about trying to find stuff.Quote:

I don't think it's really worth fannying on installing it if your XP is still working fine but you may like to give it a try the next time your windaes needs a clean install, like.
I'd recommend you installed it on a spare hard disk or partition just to make sure your hardware works with it first, like. For example, my soundcard doesn't officially work with vista but I just ewesed the XP drivers and installed them in XP compatability mode.

I have a spare PC that's doing nowt at the moment. I'll probly put it on that when I restart it. I'll use Driver Magician to get the XP drivers first but, just in case I need to use them.

My processor is a 3.0ghz p4 and I've got 1gb of ram. It does seem to want ewe to have a superpwnage computer, though it does run perfectly fine for me.
That's pretty good. My laptop which had vista pre-installed on it gives me an overall rating of 3.0 :pinch:
Yeah but it just takes your lowest score and uses that. If it used the average then mine would be about 4.9.
edit: was that 3.0 for your graphics by any chance? don't most laptops come with grafficks cards wot are a bit shit?
Most come with graphics chips and shared memory rather than dedicated.
