SCC is fast, but only when it comes to new or very popular releases. TL's huge user database grants you decent speeds on older torrents as well. Both are excellent trackers though.
Is there an option for who cares, members of both trackers have their own preferences?

Why does speed matter? Actually, It might for others, But i can always hit 2.2MB+ download with my connection on TL and tbh i couldnt care less if SCC is better.
Reason being, I can download a DVD-r in around 30-40 minutes, Then set another to download which will be downloaded before i have finished watching the first one, So theres no need for it to be faster for me, There is no benefit except i could end up with stacks and stacks of DVD's etc that i havent had time to use/watch.
I would rather be able to get decent speeds on older torrents than maxing my line on newer ones and having better content. Content is a preference too, A little like people who want trackers with FLAK music and others who simply want MP3.
Just be happy with what you have :)
They both have their respective uses. SCC is awesome for pre-times, for racing popular releases, 0-day tracker. They have really fast uploaders there - i can max out my connection on a brand new torrent. TL has a huge userbase as mentioned, a lot of uploads, and a lot of variety. and is awesome especially for older stuff. it's easy to keep a ratio on both, imho - as long as on SCC you hop on the new torrents.
BTW, an announcement was posted as soon as signups were closed on SCC and is still there

I think scc is only faster on new stuff. There is way more leechers on tl though. I dont use scc much though. I do like the forum though!
i gave my SCC account away, it seemed crappy to me, and they didnt have any older torrents, TL beats SCC on everything by a mile.
in my opinion TL is the best tracker overall
scc the speed are really good

for me its scc, like others have said TL is better for older stuff only because they have many more users. hopefully scc will take off, i already suggested it gets moved up a level or 2 since they closed signups and are much harder to get in now.
TL is faster for me for both new and old. SCC doesn't have as much traffic compared to TL.

SCC is definitely a lot better than TL, if you compare pretimes and speed. A few more releases that are missed would make it even better. Hardly any porn there for you porn addicts. Also, only a few PC games or a few PS2/PSP games.
As far as I can remember, ~7K got 10 invites each. That means there are ~70000 invites left. It's definitely not hard to get into SCC.Quote:
