How many sites have you lost due to inactivity?

Well I was thinking of some my accounts I have lost in the past due to inactivity or forgetting to check in within the allowed time frame and so I thought I would make a poll since it would be an interesting topic.

So how many sites have you lost due to inactivity?

1-3

Only one I remember right now is Torrentleech and I hate myself for it :frusty:

Perhaps a few others but none I remember so they must have been unimportant.

TB (Maybe it still works), DVDClub when it was brand new, BitHQ, TD when it was brand new, BCG when it was newer.

But I got BitHQ, DVDClub, TD, and BCG back now! :)

I only sign up for sites I use regularly. If I know I'm never going to use a tracker, I won't signup.

So I guess you guys/gals can say none in your post or if one the mods can add the none option to the poll it would great.

Sites I didn't lose on purpose. TopHos (got it back), Goem, ST and probably two three more that I can't think of right now.

but seriously not many...if u know u won't use a site...just don't sign up...or better still give the account away to some1 who needs it...u'll b happy.

I'm guessing in the 10-15 range. After suprnova closed i joined a few private sites then moved and had dial-up and lost them then rejoined again. I think I've lost filelist at least 3 times.

1 - HDBits

If you're losing sites due to inactivity then you have too many trackers. Only exception would be a decent reason like losing interest in the scene, being in jail/overseas/whatever or such.

"Collectors" with 30-some accounts, most that they never touch, are nothing more than a joke to me.

Yeah, that thors account you spent so much time and effort trading into but never use? That makes you a shmuck. :)

Having said that, I've lost one, RTS, which I lost because it was a lost cause when I got there, and even the 190 gig buffer I built gave it no redeeming value. Never looked back on that one.

probably 1-3 but only because i let them expire since i didnt like the site

1 - SCT
I have only ever signed up to like 10 sites ... 7 of which i still use, and 2 have closed thier doors - FTM and another one around the same time as that (had less then 1k peeps)...

I lost SCT since i never used it since it was hard to seed back (and the new torrentbytes was decent for releases) ...
I have been offered an invite there on a few occations and have turned em down ... i really dont need it ... and if i ever wanted back in i know i could likely get an invite fairly easy

i lost 1 or may be 2 dont remember

I lost all my accounts when I went traveling for about 6 months a while back. But I've got all the ones I want back and joined some new ones I like even better :)

WB, Oink, LearnBits, Heaven, BitMe, pisexy, FL, Geom, Silver, cinematik, Phoenix, Legendary, VIPmusic, Thor....and im sure a few more....

ha....just noticed thats quite a bit

Its all good tho, there are only a couple i actually regret.

but now all is well and those buffers are back :)

Many to mention....some are intentionally but some are not.....

FinBytes, MusicVids, ExtremBits, SweBits, SoftTorrents, WB, DVDClub, BTmusic, HDBits, and countless others. Nowadays i just care about 20 trackers, i use intensively about 5 tho.

Well my biggest loss is blackcats...I had managed to register during the open signup phase a month back and had parked my account...but they disabled it........

lost FSCE but i knew i would and was fine with it, good community but waaaay too small for my tastes.

I've lost a few in my time. It's mainly been because I've switched over computers and since I didn't use them on a regular basis I forgot about them and didn't add them to my fav places section.

I don't think I've lost any. I have a bookmark folder in firefox for all my torrent trackers. I just click "open all in tabs" once a week. It's a good way for me to keep track of all my sites and make sure they're not getting underused :)
