Since I really doubt anyone joined any top tier trackers as soon an they first started using BT, what did you use?
For me, it was almost exclusively Suprnova. If I couldn't find what I wanted, I'd use Google to search for a torrent of it.

indexing site like isohunt , then demonoid , after that torrentleech :)
Suprnova started it all for me. Then Boxtorrents and Filelist. First music site i ever discovered was Oink then it was Demonoid for me. Sports? It was PWT. Games? UG. Of course this was all after the downfall of Kazaa lite.
Ah yeah, I forgot all about Isohunt. I used that after Suprnova went down. I Think OiNK or ST were the first private sites I got invited to.
Now I use TL for scene, and Waffles/x264/Blackcats for music, movies, and games, respectively.
Edit: Grimms, I hate you for reminding me of Kazaa lol. I wonder how many people still use it...

i actually know many people that only have high level account. Back before the WIAW thread it was pretty easy to get into most places
Frankly, I think at the beginning I just searched for torrents on google. I wasn't a member of any torrent community at the time. In fact, I didn't understand what trackers were needed for.. :D
That was some time ago, probably just when BT was starting to catch up. Had a long break and then returned straight to private trackers. My first private tracker was Demonoid. :wub:

I too started off with good ol' Demonoid (hope it comes back!) and can still remember how amazed I was at what it had to offer.

Yeah, I started off with suprnova, as well. Not that it was an actual tracker... so whatever they pointed to.

Torrentspy and Mininova were my first. Then I learned about private sites so I joined demonoid about a year later - now that they don't allow canadian traffic, my account probably just died. I joined christiantorrents I think the day before demonoid. A month later joined st, oink, TL, and revott. My accounts at demonoid and christiantorrents proved to some others I could share back what I dl and that I participate in forums a fair amount so I got invites to everywhere I asked.
My first was either torrentspy or Isohunt
for the first few months using torrents the sites i used most were torrentspy and isohunt.
then progressed on to uknova, demonoid and torrentleech.
my first was the old suprnova. When that went down I moved to torrentspy/isohunt until I discovered RevTT
My first month i used public trackers then shift to private trackers demonoid then TL....
My first tracker was SCT......more than 2 year ago
