Tracker Inactivity and Ratio Rules
I'm sure everyone agrees that it gets confusing and tedious to keep track of every tracker's difference regarding these two things, and we all want to be a good law abiding member, so I've composed this list. It's by no means complete, so if you have any corrections or new information you would like to add, you're more than welcome to post it and I will add it in/correct it.
What most people do as soon as they join a new tracker is read the rules/FAQ for any differences or unique rules. I hope this helps someone somewhere.
The Inactive line usually shows how many days until being disabled by inactivity, and what constitutes as activity. So if it says Inactive: 42 days, web, then it means that if you don't go to the web site (Logged in of course) for 42 days, your account will be disabled/deleted.

Ratio New member = DL 7 gig with a Global Ratio less than 0.4, gets leechwarned, but they have 4 weeks to get up to a 0.75, and with SP it should take them no longer than 10 days to do so even with no leechers on their torrents.
New Member, hits and runs on 4 torrents in a row, even with a ratio of above 0.4 gets demoted into Kitty Litter, where they cannot download any new torrents. Again use SP wisely and you should be out of Kitty Litter in a week or even less, even with no leechers.
If you survive those 2, you should never ever get another leechwarning, because you already have the 1.0 Global ratio anyway from SP but if you do happen to drop down to below 0.4 Global ratio, leechwarned again and have 4 weeks to get out of it.
And hit and runs are worked on points, the higher the class, the less points you can get without getting demoted, we will never tell you how we work the points out so do not ask. Gain so many points and you go straight into Kitty Litter, and have to see to get out of it.
Rare ban for low ratio.

Re: Tracker Inactivity and Ratio Rules
Just to add a bit to BCG, because lets face it
Ratio (Individual torrent ratio more important. 0.8 for indiv. ratio):
4+ GB = 0.75
does not really explain that much.
New member = DL 7 gig with a Global Ratio less than 0.4, gets leechwarned, but they have 4 weeks to get up to a 0.75, and with SP it should take them no longer than 10 days to do so even with no leechers on their torrents.
New Member, hits and runs on 4 torrents in a row, even with a ratio of above 0.4 gets demoted into Kitty Litter, where they cannot download any new torrents. Again use SP wisely and you should be out of Kitty Litter in a week or even less, even with no leechers.

And hit and runs are worked on points, the higher the class, the less points you can get without getting demoted, we will never tell you how we work the points out so do not ask. Gain so many points and you go straight into Kitty Litter, and have to see to get out of it.
We very very rarely ban for low ratio, as it is that easy to get out of it, no one should get banned, and if they do, they are not even trying.
^^ bit long winded, but explained better (i hope) than in the post :)

Good list man, well researched!! thumbs up! :)

Re: Tracker Inactivity and Ratio Rules
Not sure about the point of this, if anything inactivity times/ratio or whatever that implies could be amended to WTO thread or something like that, but even then the data could be too obscure; people should read the FAQ/Rules automatically. That's part of being a good user. This'll just end up as another huge list of every tracker, and there's already a couple of those. :P

Is this for users who just want to keep their accs alive? :whistling
If yes, as I said, didn't worth the time you lost.

That happens when you have a bunch of accs, useless accs.

although this is a nice list that must have taken time to write out id have to agree with FBI........unless you have accounts to "have" them i dont think you would really need this

that is not entirely accurate on all trackers..... some trackers define Inactive as not being part of the community! this includes irc action, torrent comments and or forum posts...
logging in...... is just logging in.. nothing else.. Oo
So... all users know whats up... if you find your accounts ban/ disabled for TRUE INACTIVITY....

Only traders act like that, don't know why are you worried about them.

Re: Tracker Inactivity and Ratio Rules
Nice list. My opinion is if you don't normally use a site at least once a month then you really don't need it.

How true that is. Too many people have sites they never visit, but they are obsessed with keeping them alive. It must be a trader mentality.
I had a ton of trackers when I first started torrenting, but when I realised that they were all pretty much the same, I stuck to 1-2 general trackers, and a few content specific trackers. No need for much else.

Re: Tracker Inactivity and Ratio Rules
I can vouch that KG does not ban inactive users. I was absent for over a year and found my account still intact.
edit: I should add that U-G is either 4 or 6 weeks (ask in their IRC chan). I know because I was disabled there. Although, they did re-enable me considering I had an extremely awesome ratio and seed indefinitely.

stoi has said that people on BCG get disabled for not being active on a torrent for a certain amount of time. sometimes clicking on your bookmarks isn't enough.

Re: Tracker Inactivity and Ratio Rules
well surely thats the same as most trackers though, apart from other trackers expect you to seed to actual leechers, we do not, if you have a low ratio, bye bye account.
IRC activity = we would have 80 members left
Comments = we would just get a lot of crap posted
Forum = same as comments, but we would have about 4000 members left.
if those actually mattered.

lol, well if you break them down in a either-or manner then perhaps.... :P
i meant in a combination of any of those + seeding/leeching(which i didn't mention previously..) is being considered active..
what the OP is saying that all you need to do is log into a tracker within the allotted time before pruning/ban/disable, is being active.... that's what i was correcting on.. only thing that does is keep the account alive from auto pruning, nothing more.. if that's what you want, then the info given is totally fine.... but some sites do manually prune on occasion.. then beware.... lol
