That's a really important topic. Of course I'm all in favour of it. Here's my first contribution :)
Yes, by all means, let's have a porn world.
<_<
Edit: pic is gone after multiple complaints
balamm i expected better from you... <_<
that's exactly what i'm talking about, if people bump things that are clearly irrelevant and useless, is that ok? i'm thinking once in a while, it's ok but maybe there should be some type of unofficial limit on that type of thing? or am i out of order?
:o Gee b.... I didn't know you'd reconciled....Quote:

It really depends on the contents of the thread. if it was a flame thread and it was bumped to course trouble yes, but for example Paul's thread I don't see anything wrong with it, well not enough for moderation anyway
i agree ad. the pron thread was kinda silly to bump it, can a poll from then count for now? no, so that's why it was silly. but there isn't much harm in it either, i was just asking if somebody came along and starting doing it all the time, either to bump a flame thread or to bump completely irrelevant threads, if they would get in trouble(like if they started bumping several old internet news threads per night). so it sounds like they probably wouldn't get moderated. but "fun bumping" i understand it's ok, just was wondering what would happen if someone went crazy with it.
It makes one wonder what the point is of some of these polls because with regards to the porn poll even though there was a majority who wanted a porn world. It never came and probably never will.
yeah its quite ironic isn't itQuote:

It'sa so the administrators or mods can get a feel for what the strength of feeling is about a subject. It's not like an election - the vote's just for information, and is only one of the factors we (the team) take into consideration when making a decision.Quote:

Remember that this board is not a democracy. The admins call the shots, and the mods enforce their rules.
you should factor in the fact that you look like j. mascis in that hat
j/k of course
You do realise that in about six months somebody's going to bump THIS thread
nnnnoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo please, please no-one do that!!! :ermm:
it would be tragic
now someone's DEFINETLY goiny to bump this thread in the future   :lol:Quote:

I promise it won't be me ;)
I just briefly looked at the rules. I used "word search" and did not see anything that states "bump" or "bumping".Quote:

So what exactly is "bumping"?
I think inter.news got moderated for bumping to many old threads :unsure:Quote:

It was.Quote:

It involved a couple of (old) whales having a threesome with an (old) stick-insect-like bloke.
Absolutely sickening.
what was the thing with clockers sig?
Apparently Clocker was unable to assemble an inspiring enough signature to merit display, so the Mods had to step in, regretfully, and remove his mundane offering.Quote:

He is getting old you know, sometimes people just find him wandering the different "worlds" looking dazed. He once PM'ed me that he was lost in "hardware world" and could I help return him to the lounge. I think, Lamsey, on more than one occasion has found him passed out in "bookworld" and covered the poor boy up with a cyberblanket.

   really? :ermm:
No, not really.
It is warmer up there.
MagicNakor really appreciates the benefits of a roaring fire and keeps the hearth up there well stocked and tended.
Occasionally one may drift into a deeper state of contemplation, easily mistaken by the young for sleep.
This is sometimes accompanied by drooling.
Not to worry.
As for my sig.
Apparently, several board members came to the conclusion that my sig contained secret messages and complained to the mods. After vociferously ( there's a word for another thread, hobbes) defending my 12th Amendment right to display nonsensical, or potentially libelous, sigs, my beloved sig was unilaterally wiped clean.
I am over it, and being the bigger man that I am, forgive the misguided souls at the root of the dispute.
how was this alleged stuff encoded?
Clocker is it really safe to leave the lounge without a chaperon?Quote:
