:huh: Hey, its been approximately two weeks since Sharman says k++ would die in two weeks, and im not seen any problems. I am downloading a chaplin movie (how many people have old movies in this network??, not much!!) and i have a good speed.
Is there somebody with problems using k++ :blink: . Real problems!, no problems about hard to find files been downloaded with a 56k conection B) .

Same here, about a week ago i thought we were done for but now there are on average 3,740,000 users. BUT..... shrmen said 4 -6 weeks for a complete wipeout....(I personally think its a stunt to persue people to download kmd 2.6)

I haven't experienced any problems myself and I have K-lite running all the time. I have noticed a drop in users online in the past few days but other than that everything has been ok.
Ok, i dont remenber if they said 2, 3 or 4 weeks :unsure: , but its still like there werent any block, except to find the program (well, we have enough mirros aniway) :rolleyes: .
About the users number been lower, i dont think its becouse kmd2.6, but the riaa suits. See when the riaa made a big suit, and you will see a lower number of users too.

Yeah as far as I can tell there isnt that much of a change and thats because everyone I know has K++ into their computer because I put it there and I havent heard a single complaint. Well anyways KEEP ON SHARING!!

Too bad that most people don't see the difference between those.
But time will tell.
I haven't noticed anything major yet (although I've seen very low amounts of users at some points - 2.6 million during the day). I agree theres no evidence that Shaman have succeeded (or have even tried) but by all accounts if this is going on it'll be slow to get going (as users find and download v2.6).

No problems here. I downloaded a couple of MP3's today and got great speeds on them. :D

I'm confident the next K++ installer will be updated when the guys working on it release a final 2.60.
Why are the supernodes goin offline??
I thought it was enough with that everybody using kl become a supernode, like other people posted in this forum!!

random ,they do not understand that the loss of the old supernodes that

The installer, even KMD's installer, writes supernode IPs to the registry when installing. These IPs are updated automatically by kazaa.exe after that, but if you can't do the initial connection because the initial supernode IPs aren't working anymore (will always happen after a couple of months even with KMD260) then you can never update the IPs and thus never connect to the network. That's why an installer always needs to have an updated set of supernode IPs.
Could it be enough editing the registry? :huh: . If that is the whole problem, then it sound easier to resolve than a though!!
O'course, i have to ask if those initial supernode are normal supernod (somebody using any version of kazaa), or is something that sharman can control :( .
Kazaa Lite K++ may remain working, but if new users cannot find it on the web to download and install it, that may be a moot point.
Sure, we could SHARE it on KL++, but then every new convert would need to know how to go from KMD v2.6.x to KL++ v2.4.x
Also, like RN said, if we don't have/find a way to put a NEW starting supernode list into KL++, it WILL DIE after awhile.
People may be having trouble getting online now, as the only supernode still online that's listed in the initial setup may be overloaded constantly...
If there are fewer supernodes, there are more people connected to the same supernodes, so therefore we should receive more search results yet it would take longer for KL to find a Supernode when connecting. So far it still only takes a matter of seconds for KL to find a supernode to connect to, so either Sharmens tactics arent working or all this is just some hoax to encourage the use of KMD2.6
ever since you stoped giving kazaa k++ i noticed my download speed jumped from the normal 99 kb to 233 kb :blink: thats is wierd but oh well, its faster! :rolleyes:

Well, if you know of a valid supernode address you can use kazupernodes to attempt to connect, once you've connected to 1 you're back in business!Quote:

The trouble is your average Newbie-Joe isn't going to know how to do this without detailed instructions..
(Sharman used to control a supernode known as the "alpha" supernode, the IP of which was hardcoded into the KMD client as a last resort in case the client couldn't connect, but I think this was removed a few versions ago.)

I wasn't worried and I'm still not, although it's hard to remain positive with all of this negativity flying around. LOL.
Not only are all connection speeds and access holding up, but you can still download Kazaa Lite (virgins 1.5.1 to virgins 2.4.3) in any language on the Sharman servers. B)
I'm still holding on my theory that we will not be booted or blocked because Sharman needs to show a total number of users in order to make selling their advertising more appealing. Remember that prospective clients will be shown the bottom line, no one from Sharman is going to tell a prospective client: "We have 3.6 million users online who will see your ads, but keep in mind that there are 1 million KL users who won't see your ads." LOL.
The higher the number of users on the system increases the value of Sharman's advertising rates. They would be cutting their own throat to cut their user base in half, so they won't. LOL.
If a prospective client should ask, "What about those KL users who I've heard about?" The Sharman sales rep is going to turn around and say, "Don't worry, we've taken care of that already" showing him the memo, and the question will be put to rest.
I just use Kazupernodes to find a working supernode to connect to, and then launch K-Lite from there. It almost always works, if you choose one with a low response time. I haven't had any major connectivity problems yet.

Im still downloading, ive been downloading nonstop and havent even noticed a bump. time will tell about if sharman will shut K++ down, untill then,, FUCK EM! :P
Kazaa Lite K++ 2.4.3 going OK ... I used the #klchat Build of Kazaa, made by Raaz (that is a clean KMD 2.6, possibly the next logical step in KLite timeline), and I saw there is some interesting features in 2.6 version like concurrent searches, one click download, but I unistalled it once Klite 2.4.3 version is still more stable and have more extensions than that one ... Let's wait and see how long will this remain working (I hope forever, 2.000.000 users is good enough .... )
Has anyone noticed in their UPLOADS that very few people have PL values below 1,000 yet above 30?
If you see any of them, they are most likely Kazaa users.
I'm betting Kazaa users can STILL download from us, but the reverse may not be true -- or we may get 'leftovers' only due to a changed PL system which treats KL++'s PL as 0.

If you see ppl with specfific shared files numbers, than they might using KMD 2.5 or lower, because as I heared the latest 2.6 can't normally connect to k++ - only with a crack probably, but I do not know if there is any.Quote:

And I do not know if I am going to install yellow Kazaa again, because the Spyware slowed down my whole pc.
Today I could not connect to anyone using KL++ 2.4.2. Even after jumping supernodes many times, I was the only user online :o . I then uninstalled KL++ 2.4.2 and installed CLEAN KMD from http://kppfree.narod.ru/kdown.htm and everything works fine now. 2.9 million users online. :rolleyes:
If CLEAN KMD is an update to KL, why not call it KL?

Also, I have a question to the programmers of k-lite. Would it be simple to construct a small program to search for updated nodes, and then write them to the registry? Then, we would have updated K-lite's and wouldn't need to worry about getting kicked off the network?
I am no programmer, but I am just asking the people who would know. This might be an idea that has been overlooked.
