Hi, i read somewhere that if you travel faster than the speed of light, you acctually go back in time? But how, once somethings happened its happened. A very weird thought!!

pure theory
I know I'd change somethings though
me too!! :DQuote:

Oh man, this discussion can go soooooooooooo deep
If you meet your future self and he kills you, then he will never have existed that long so he did'nt kill you so how would it actually happen?
Scary
Jonno B)
events happen in real time but by the time you see them happen they have already occured....when we look at stars we look at events that happened some time ago because of the speed of light and the distance. therefore we can see back in time so to speak but we can't make time go backwards...even though a certain us president is trying to make my country go back to the 1940s
just in case i am wrong and we can go back in time...make sure you don't take a dump before you go :o
It wouldn't happen
He still be able to exist until then becasue it wouldn't be known that you would go forward in time until you did
watch the butterfly effect that movie does a good job explaining time travel and why u can't and can so does time machine love both of those movies.
Einstein or some other smart guy compared time to a river, and that time always flowed one way, but there was always the possibility of a whirlpool, which would be the water going opposite direction, and that would be the time going backwards :smilie4:
But I say no, it can't happen
I say impossible. If you take off in a space craft, how could you possibly land before you took off.
Einsteins theory of relativitiy is ok in theory. but in practice, No. Everything else is relative. So to return to where you started would be relative from when you started. So it would be at a later time. Sorry Albert.
i would go back and warn my old grandad to go to the doctors more often
mostly i would go back just for the sake of it and see what the glorious region of Newcastle looked like in the olden days :D
I would go back to the start of the last election and enjoyQuote:

being your president several times while treating you like ppl should be treated.
   Peace! No: War in Iraq!
Though my situation is not the best I would not travel directly back in time.
Maybe I would do that as another person.
But what really would interest me, cause iti s real and sad fact to travel
to all the persecuted ppl and help them during World War 2...
But that might be quite impossible...
:(
Travelling in time is pure speculation based on some scientific facts. Its not like we can believe in it until its proven false or the other way round.
The only thing about light of speed is you cant go faster than light yet. An experiment was done in Australia similar to teleport in which they transferred photon from one jar to other. It was a success, speed of light wasnt a parameter, the even happened instanteneously. They are working now to with an atom or even a molecule. Its at least 20-30 years before any human does it.
you would use it for good ????? goddamit man just for once do something despicable     :lol:Quote:

Timetravelling might be possible, but with our current science and developement,Quote:

it is hard.
But it might be truely possible.
Imagine what would happen if you are neither in Space nor time?
You are in " ". Would that makes you feeling comfortable?
I know quantum theory has been proven to show that you never die ever
you would use it for good ????? goddamit man just for once do something despicable      [/b][/quote]Quote:

But the interesting would be be what would happen if World War 2
never happened? Would I be still there as I am? Or would I be someone else,
in my former life... All interesting questions, come on test it out...
I recently saw an interesting film - 12:01h - day repeats and only one guy
remembers... funny in some ways but horrible if one person in Africa remember
that the day repeats hundreds of times in loop and the scientist is in North America
=> Real Problem!!!!
Would this board exist if WW2 would never happened?
WW2 was important but sad very sad, but maybe you can beam all of the
persecuted ppl out on a starship and not effect timeline but only save lives???
What is " "
Space and time are two dimensions. If you are not in these two then you are in some other dimension. A dimensionless is also a dimension where there are no parameteres. From a scientific point of view, its speculation. People are working on it and until its at least closer to what time travel means, I will only regard as a joke popularized by Back to the future people
Moreover, I like Sartre's philosophy. So even if there is meaning to life or there is dimension, I wont feel unhappy or uncomfortable. I will continue to drive, drink and be happy
You never die? Cool, I thought of I was in my former life a young womanQuote:

But interesting, energy rules PPL - come on all ppl who are still out
there only not have bodies come use your energy and share files actively
on K-Lite ;)
I saw that on a plane once - cheap version of Groundhog DayQuote:

That explains some things then :P
An even triggers event is again a movie concept. From scientific point of view its not necessary something to trigger. Causal is another philosophy but not necessarily a scientific point of view.Quote:

I must say, its so much fun to speculate, get confused and be happy thinking about all this
Btw, who knows if you will be in the same space dimension even if you travel time. You could be in a whole different earth. Keep speculating and dont bring science because then everything is absurd what we are talking

Yeah - quantum theory shon that when measuring reflections of lasers off mirros, any alternative projections occured to some degree..........further study shown that all possible events for a given for a situation but at a quantum level.
Following this theory, at the point you would die, it is always possiblt to liive for 100th of a second and so on for every 100th - just as you are about to die stays that way. We all just end up on the verge of death for eternity :(
I always knew there is life in other dimensions!Quote:

Come on what about a tool with which you can cross file share about multi
dimensions - that would be good, hhehe... you can be in ww2 andshare files with
ppl in future.... Continue file share...
Yeah, peace, !!!
Connected: Multi Dimensional K-Lite Fasttrack Network
Users: 1.334.122.555.222.545 Users, sharing many many files!
Much GB! TB - PB Pety byte!
Peace, RIAA go somewhere... You never stop me...

Did you ever wonder why a mobile phone don't work on cemeteries?
There are many ppl who are after their death there - consisting of electromagnetical waves (energy) - and there might be disturbing
accidentally your phone ;)
Just some theory, but the energy of thoughts and in your body is not big.
very small, but as each thought counts each energy counts!
Energy rules! Energy and character ;)
That would be the dumbest theory ever to account for that. Cell phones dont work there because people shut if off before going  You should ask someone next time you go there.
Obviously, other thing would be it is out of network

Come on I.am, I invite you -
in near future there will be an organisation called/named
Time Travel Industries - you will be able to travel through time periods
and enjoy sharing as much as possible. But there might time police...
But it is difficult to control the time...
PS. I need coffee!
After reading all that, I think I need my caffiene too. Now where is that coke :01:
Maybe in a future we shuold be aware of people reading our energetic thoughts ;)Quote:

It is possible to record dreams. Unfortunately the size of database required is, at present time, not available.
even the reference pointer to that database is not available :D
