Sadly, Billy, it's garotte or be garotted in this crazy, one-horse political paradox.
Some day the Earth will get bored with us, swallow Ulster and open a nice theme park in it' ashes.

i would love to see that!
sadly some people just dont get along!
and sadly there are a lot of those pricks here!
The thing that gets me is that there's no real reason for the hate.
Either side don't have a reason for hating the other, except that "they're the other side".
It's all so pointless :(
a nice simplification here.Quote:

what can be said? you are naive to the politics and history involved.
I know about the politics and the history.
But the sectarianism is just there now, King Billy and all that are just excuses.
There were people in my school who have attacked people on 'the other side' and when I asked them why they hated them, they could not reply with anything other than "they're a fucking :swear: ".
Hate without reason. Hate for the sake of hate. :(
I know it's a generalisation but it's true for a lot of them.
at a street level, among the so called "thugs" there's a lot of violence for violence sake. people don't understand why they hate "the other side", they just do.Quote:

I know it's a generalisation but it's true for a lot of them.
however, there is a deep rooted hate for "the other said" as you say.
this hate goes back for hundreds of years and is based on wars, assassinations, torture, indoctrination and suchlike.
maybe the neds in glasgow walk about and start stuff with "the other side" solely because they are only "the other side", however further up there is a lot more to the hate
Yeah - the street level is what I was talking about.
Believe me, I don't want to go 'further up' - scary!
