Just think... if you can donate more than 4 times in a day, that is like as much money as an actual employed person makes in a day. :O

Re: Last one to post wins the internets
It takes approximately 20 minutes to get to Croesyceiliog, I have to be there in 30 minutes. I'm vaguely aware of its location. I have no sat nav.
If anyone wants to give me a bell to tell me how to get there in a manner that's both easy to understand and very quiet, I'd be most grateful.

Do you not have Google maps on that island? You put in your address, and where you are going. It'll give you turn-by-turn and distance directions...
Good luck!
EDIT_ yeah, you do... http://maps.google.co.uk/

Mornsup :coffee:
Rather surprisingly I made it in to work today. The roads were clear, and the trains were running on time. :(
Seems that 2 inches of snow just isn't enough in these enlightened times...

Thanks, dewd. I used AAroutefinder in the end and got lost. I was around half hour late but the lady was about 20 years my senior and didn't mind at all once I'd smiled and played the befuddled academic card.
Everything went better than expected and I'm now £4.40 per week better off.
I think I'll go order myself another sports car

he's an accountant, he doesn't have to stoop that...wait. Yer right.

Re: Last one to post wins the internets
Gross and slimy?
I think you might be a homosexual.
And mbm's right, I don't have to have sex with her to get the money, I don't even have to do her accounts, but I do have to administrate her payroll.
She's already got an accountant for her shop :emo:
Does anyone think it's unethical for me to try to undercut this accountant? I'd hate it if a different firm got a foot in the door with one of my clients and did that to me.

Re: Last one to post wins the internets
I'm pretty sure we live in a free market economy... undercut away

I think I'll probably wait to see what Ben says. He's got an interesting moral code.
And then I'll listen to you because he's just a hippy.

Re: Last one to post wins the internets
I've been to the pub. <---------------------------moral disclaimer.

Re: Last one to post wins the internets
Going to the Harvester for Sunday lunch with missus Barbie and the 2.4 children doesn't constitute going to the pub.
Even if you were allowed to have half a lager and lime.

Re: Last one to post wins the internets
No no no somebody at work is leaving, they felt the need to celebrate. It's monday, by the way.
I've had 3 points. Pints, even. Don't tell Mrs Barbie. Also .4 of a kid is a bit weird, like, but it makes nappy changes easier.

Do you know the accountant. If not, then do it. I just got back from undercutting a rival tree surgery firm. Their prices are fixed, and I know them, so I knocked £50-£100 of the price they would charge for each tree-fell.

Bugger me. How much does it cost to cut a tree down :o
At least £101, one would assume. Thank jebus I don't have any errant trees.
Anyhow, thanks for that, Ben. I definitely will give the undercutting a go based on yours and barbie's stolid advice.
In other, slightly related news, I've just come off the phone to a mortgage advisor who told me I don't have people skills.
A fecking mortgage advisor.
He was being quite nice about it and packaged it with a back-handed compliment about my being an academic obviously precluding such an eventuality but I'm quite taken aback.
I didn't know that I was an academic, btw. Perhaps I'm not and I do have, in actual fact, mad people skillz. Maybe I should just stop lending credence to the words of mortgage advisors.

You're simply going to have to back this up with pics. I refuse to believe it.
I've just found out that it costs an obscene amount to cut trees down and I'm not sure if I'm an academic and therefore pish with people.
I remain unconvinced of my ability to process any more shocks today.

If you can't show her that you are willing to be underhanded and devious in nature, how is she going to rely on you to cook her books when she really needs you?
Aren't they teaching ethics in Accounting school these days? :ermm:

Noice rhetoric
The advice presented here is pretty decent.
I'm going to base all of my business decisions on the sagacity presented by the bored for the next month. I shall post some pie charts to reflect results as they roll in.

I just received some bad comma...
Within 15 minutes of reading your reply, I had noticed that my 23 m/o daughter had taken the opportunity of an open sliding glass door (the kids are kept inside by an expanded play gate) to throw about 30 toys of various size out on our deck.
Upon catching her in the act, I asked if she thought daddy would want her to do such a thing.
She replied with a very emphatic, repeated nod.

It is also fecking hard work, we just got a friend who happens to be a tree surgeon (sorry ben you're too far away) to cut down 4 pine trees that were towering over my parent's in law's house and spent the weekend cutting the bastards up, splitting the logs and moving all the branches out of the driveway. I'm knackered after only 4 trees, oh and a side note, fiberglass handled axes suck big time, we killed two of them splitting the logs, the poofy things.

I read in a sci-fi book where they have machines that do that sort of thing.

Attach a log-splitting cone to a tractor's PTO, or do something else. :smilie4:

Yeah, yeah, yeah I suggested hiring a log splitter, but they are tight arsed Scots, so no we had to do it the hard way. I did point out though that it would have been cheaper at $75 to hire a 22ton log splitter for the day than the axes that got killed doing it manually...... all I got was oh yeah.......
Still have to get rid of all the fecking branches, but at least the tightarses are going to pay up for the chipper.

I'd call you a massive fuckwit, but on the off-chance you're not actually trying to be insulting I'll just put you on ignore and skip that part.

Anyways, guess some nubbins wants the bored shut down, going by the the looks of the movie section.
Something like:
1. Post five bajillion links to filehosts.
2. Call the FBI.
3. ???
4. Profit.

Re: Last one to post wins the internets
Not really, obviously, wrt the first part.
But I am curious as to what the intent was, there.
