Since Friday our site is suffering from routing problems which will not allow you to reach our Site the usual way.
We are working hard to resolve that problem. In the meantime we can give you a workaround to reach our site inspite of the routing problem:
Step 1
Find the file "hosts" (without apostrophes) on your computer.
You can find it (in older Windows versions lime Win 98 or WIN ME) in %WinDir%\ or in Win2090/NT4 in %windir%\system or in Win XP/VISTA in %Windir%\system32\drivers\etc
usually you find it here: C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\
just open the 'hosts' file that directory with notepad
Step 2:
edit this file with a text editor (like notepad)
simple version in XP: Click the Start Button select Run and in the popup window enter without the apostophes "notepad %windir%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts"
There should at least be one line saying
127.0.0.1 localhost
at the end of this file add the following 5 lines:
85.17.52.63 www.gaytorrent.ru
85.17.52.63 gaytorrent.ru
85.17.52.63 tracker.gaytorrent.ru
85.17.52.63 forum.gaytorrent.ru
85.25.147.202 irc.gaytorrent.ru
Then save the file again.
Be aware though: in some Windows versions (or under linux too) you must be logged in as an administrator to have permission to edit this file!
Some editors have problems to save a file without extension - just save the file as hosts.txt and rename it to hosts (without extension) afterwards. so make sure the file is named just "hosts" after your editing.
Windows 16 bit versions (98/ME) need a reboot after changing that file!
Vista Help:
1) you will need administrator rights
2) you cannot edit it in the "drivers\etc" folder itself, so what you need to do
-> copy and paste the "hosts" file elsewhere (Desktop should be ok)
-> right click and open with notepad (as Tom has said)
-> add in those five lines (remember to put in both the IPs and the addresses)
-> save it as a .txt file on the desktop and close
-> right click - choose rename and remove the extension (so it will just be "hosts" like the original)
-> now copy and paste (replace) it back into the "drivers\etc" folder
After that you can reach our site normally again.
