One thing I do hate (which backfired on Uruguay) is that once they were up they took there time with kick-offs and even once the ref looked like he was cheating for them on a substitution where he waiting 'till a Uruguay player that was being replaced got ALL THE WAY off the field before starting the action back up.
It's funny how people talk about the starts and stops of basketball and football but I think it's really about the amount of time of those stops.
That's seven-a-side rugby - apart from the basic rules, it's not got a lot in common with the 15-a-side game.
Watch the Six Nations when it starts weekend after next. What you saw there will be a very low grade version of the game.
Dan Lyle played flanker for top English club Bath for years, quality player, and while he was captain, the USA made for half decent opposition.

I love the breakaways where the player with the ball just fucking runs over a coupla other players!! Reminds me of NFL.
I actually like the game partly 'cause it's short and activity filled.
I see why it wouldn't "take off" over here though. Some of the rules suck.
