Just to clarify, Dave, I am not proficient at this activity you refer to as "rodding"; I recognize that it has facets of a colloquial nature I shall never be familiar with, but also that it overlaps comfortably enough with something I am rather good at, but which activity I reserve for use only in dealing with you.

I call it Dave-ball, and I only play when the mood suits me.

When it comes to "rodding", I am more than content merely to observe it's most excellent practitioners exercise their talents hereabout, and in that capacity I judge you at a lack by comparison.
