Assuming you're talking about The Pirate Bay, you're kind of right, but they aren't a private tracker. They even dropped their own trackers in favor of DHT recently. :mellow:

Yes of course it's The Pirate Bay, they are in favor of letting the peer be in control, and that's the spirit of BitTorrent, right? and what could be better than the nice DHT.
I know they're not private, but they stand for each one of us, they defend our right of FileSharing.

Except for those whose client doesn't support it (rare nowadays) or have turned it off to prevent the extra overhead, or due to the "DHT leak myth". :unsure:
