Especially black cats. You need to get them before they turn uppity and make them think that servitude is just their lot in life.
If that doesn't work then you can always lynch them and no skin off your nose.
Idk. Will there be scantily clad wimmins in the near vicinity?
Gentlemen,
I would posit to you that this article is in fact a joke in the same vein as this one.
Discuss.
That the whole bit about it being so close to impossible to lose a lot of weight and keep it off that it might as well be impossible is a sham.
I mean, we all know one or two guys who did it. At sixth form one guy lived on rice for weeks, and lost a fuckton of weight. Last I saw him, over 5 years later, he was much the same. Another guy at work is going on two years now.
Sure, life is unfair, and I probably couldn't gain that much to save my life, never mind keeping it on, unless I started taking steroids or something, and I no doubt have it really easy compared to those guys in this respect, but the guy in the first article still has to be joking, trolling, or just plain making statistics up for some other weird reason.
Oh, and idle.

Just put a pair together, and am liking them.
Would probably much rather run in vibrams, at least rather than these with the lacing pattern I've got on, but they're still pretty sweet.
And way way better than the other ones I linked a while back. (As are my vibrams.)
I actually saw the episode of Shark Tank that those were presented on and no offense they seemed a bucket of snake oil.Not saying they are but seemed that way- piece of rubber and some string.
Anyway being the huge idiot that I am I've had to go back at least temporarily ,to my Merrell Road Gloves over the very minimal Vapors that I've been wearing. The higher mileage I've been inflicting on myself without adequate rest between sessions has go my feet hurting bad.
Trying to avoid the same long term messing up that I had when I broke my wrist but still insisted on doing pullups every week.
Who'd have thunk that bones don't heal properly like that? :frusty:
Sorry about your feet. If it's stress fractures or whatever I bet they heal up stronger, though.
No offense taken :idunno:
Like I said, I quite like them, but most likely won't use them for running or skateboarding and whatnot I'd use vibrams for.
Pretty sweet, easily tailored to my feet, and not at all expensive sandals for casual wear, is my take, really.
While I'm at it, I've been looking at more shoes. Zem Heros or Vibram Lontras for winter wear, and possible Zem Cinches (the grey ones) for when I sort of have to look presentable.
Pretty much switching out all my shoes, it seems like, and maybe giving up on a couple of pairs of cycling shoes, even. I've got a wider pair of Looks that still work, and won't be too much of a contrast to my vibrams, though.
For those of us who do more pulling up to the ice cream stand than pull-ups, I have found these shoes: http://www.payless.com/store/safeTst...ame=Safetstep+ to be very much like walking on an anti-fatigue floor mat. My feet feel better for wearing them (for around the house AND errands) than not.
I tried a pair of the name brand [foamy clogs worn by Mario Batali] a few years ago and ended up giving them away. These are different and about 1/3 the cost.
Aw'wite you slags. :smilie4:
i've just come from the gym lyke, but not my normal gym cos that's in the city i work in and not live in. i paid a day pass to use the one round the corner from here which has communal/roman style showers e.g its one big oval room with loads of bumming :ghey:
i don't go in for all that fancy trainers stuffs, i think you should have a decent pair of trainers h'obviously but i'd never pay more than lyke £40
i'd like to try barefoot style ones though, i see some guys wearing them on the treadmills but i'd be scared of out running a cheetah thus destroying time its self .....saying that i've not done much cardio these past couple months because these guns run from nothing.

...in other illiterate news, i have nothing to do. the misses is ill or on the rag or something and my real life human friends are off getting high some place but I've not smoked in 5 days, fags or other stuffs, its going well.
I have a moldy fridge, black moulds by the looks of it - the power went off for three days and when it came back on it was filled with life but instead of cleaning it i'm going to level up my dark elf in Oblivion
Zem Ninja shoes aren't that expensive. IDK about sub-£40, but, you know...ninja.
TBH, I don't work out that hard these days. Joining a gym is probably in my future (it's been a long time since I was part of one). I have never really bothered since I was much younger. I was lifting weights and doing martial arts for over two years, and was still skinny as fuck at the end of it, being a proper hard-gainer ectomorph type. This last year my metabolism seems to have slowed down enough for me to add just a little weight, though (or it was just me eating as I always have, but not exercising properly while I had my bandage on last summer and that). It pretty much stopped after my trip to Greece, though, but I have high hopes I can get it rolling again/add some muscle this time around.
At the moment I mostly just longboard for my legs and cardio, and do different types of pushups and a couple of other exercises for my upper body. For pushups it's regular, diamond and (crap form) handstand style, mostly. I take care to add enough resistance so I can't do more than 15 a set (fewer from handstand). Which should be high enough to build muscle rather than just more endurance.
Oh snap i longboard too!111 living next to a beach its hard not to. What kind of board you got? mines a lush makonga, its pretty sweet but not amazing - a step up from the Mindless entry level board i was using, not being doing it for long... i prefer a pin-tail though, not one for sliding (mainly cos i can't).
Loaded Vanguard with Paris 180 trucks, low risers for the trucks, double Venom cones for bushings atm (83a/80a boardside/roadside I think), Orangatang In Heats for wheels, with Seismic Tekton 6 ball bearings (just ruined some loaded Jehu 2s).
For Rainy days I've got a Penny Nickel. Gonna change the trucks on that and build up another board soonish as well, though.
I can hardly slide, myself.
And, you know, in case someone is wondering, I still have my bikes, and ride those as well. But a longboard works for some muscles that the cycling rly doesn't do much for, imo.
I just chase a ball around and pick sticks up and stuffs. It's free, and I think it works.
So. Today I ran into the woman of my dreams, at least physically, as I was grabbing lunch. And I don't mean she was conventionally super hot, model-style, but she just, somehow, hit every preference I have, down to the colour of her eyes and nuance of hair colour.
I didn't actually say anything to her, because a) I was with people and b) she was with other people and c) sometimes I turn into a social retard. I checked her out, and she either checked me out or looked at the weirdo checking her out.
I call that a solid foundation, for the next time I run into her, which I calculate to be no more than 10 years away, assuming she likes vietnamese food.
----
On another note I just popped off to buy a new electric razor, and on my way there there was this bikepath running down a (small) hill, with a tunnel at the end, and I just went down there on my longboard without protection or anything!1
On the way down, I passed some kind of hot (but not as mentioned above) girls, who thought I was going rly fast. I know this, because one of them said "that's rly fast", but in klingon.
Some people might call me a reckless hero, or a maverick if you will, but all I can say is that it needed doing.
On my way back I thought rly hard about mowing down a pensioner on roller skis.
Classic thread.
idle should enjoy it, especially.
I think it's great that as an adult, you still have a passion about stuff that doesn't totally involve you sitting on your ass watching other people live.
At least I assume you're an adult as the fascination with comics, skateboarding and riding a bike make it sort of hard to tell.:)
Oddly I don't have the same problem identifying dion as a child and conversely he's serious all the time.
I don't know about you people, but I regressed about a decade or so.
Day 7 of no smoking, i did a treadmill 10K yesterday in 49 minutes which is pretty sweet compared to when i was smoking 20 rollies a day, the difference in breathing is already noticeable. And on the subject of star trek, i watched the new moviefilm last night - it was tite. Super tite.
They need to do a badass Klingon moviefilm next
In other fags, queers, girls in make-up news: I just got bought cigarettes!!!1
Part of what the company I work for does is IT recruitment for other IT companies. Last week one of the recruitment succubi’ came down to our tech floor and asked me to do some quick phone interviews for a role that’s just like mine, lyke - but for another company. She said I’d be rewarded…
I’ve never interviewed anyone before, it made me feel like a God. I made up a questions list to ask them and interviewed people over twenty years my senior and more skilled than I’ll ever be and people who have no right holding a telephone. Made some recommendations and this morning the recruitments female just brought down to me a massive Starbucks and a pack of 20 Marlborough lights :pinch: …I’ll give them to an obese java dev across the room……

Hey
Also to Mulder congratulations on stopping doing ,besides deciding to take a nap in the inviting shade in front of a moving steamroller, the stupidest option open to a human being.
As for treadmills,I once ran 13 miles in -20C during a blizzard and frequently rode treacherously ice covered hills on my bike but strangely have no similarly epic tales to relive and bore people with about treadmills or rollers.
I guess it's sort of like wankers who drive to a place to go for a bike ride. They're kinda missing the whole point.
running outside is shit where i live though, not because of weather conditions or terrain but because of old people and tourists. I live in one tourist-heavy city and work in another, the seafronts are never empty for old people walking in formation (and smelling of pish) and then there's all the smelly foreign families (whom make me more racist by the day) with their weird customs of having a picnic wherever they see fit complete with throwing towels down and inviting 100000 of their cousins and children to attend and run around. Then there are the schools of English language students that are the biggest dicks of all. And of course the basic need to shower and get to work on time, I’m up at 5am weekdays as it is I don’t have time to run, shower then catch the hour long bus. For weekdays, treadmill > outdoors.

Krusty = RealitY.
Also, that Spiderman thread is pure win :glag:
I have this theory which frankly I haven't put much thought into because I find thinking too much makes me regret thinking, but I reason that almost all the problems in the World are due to the fact that it's mostly populated by foreigners.
Also have you considered moving to whichever country these people are immigrating from since obviously there can't be many left there and therefore there has to be a lot of empty space and vacant jobs and stuff.
