i thought it was shit too when he was just gonna sail out into the storm and die but then i like the very end twist and the possibility that the spin-off will be just like Dexter was in the beginning but under a different name, the majority of it was total ballpiss though.
/in other news, my windows 8 phone came yesterday :01: so far i have changed the lock screen image to a game of thrones image and downloaded a sick minecraft clone - impressive stuffs. :smilie4:

Not to say the Dexter finale was bad but this is the review from Time magazine.

That was like the writers and producers decided to lay a giant steaming pile of shit on all of the viewers. That was horrible. HORRIBLE. How? What? Why? Huh? WHAT THE FUCK?!! HOW DOES ANY OF THAT SHIT MAKE SENSE? How does that non-ending making any ounce of sense? Instead of giving us an ending, we get Dexter and other characters making decisions that no human would be making.
We get Dexter faking his own death and living as a lumberjack? He ditches his own son and the alleged love of his life. And instead of running away, which would have solved all the problems, he basically causes the death of his sister by going after Saxon. He also caused Vogel's death. But his guilt at these people dying seems to come from nowhere. Everything he does or feels is simply out of convenience. Batista and Quinn seem to sweep a death under the rug with no investigation pretty fucking quickly. We know Miami Metro is run by morons by this is even more ridiculous. Apparently you can wheel out a body from a hospital with no one asking questions if a hurricane is coming as well.
And WHAT THE FUCK WAS THE POINT OF MASUKA'S STORYLINE?!!! That had no reason for existing!!!
These motherfucking writers are INCOMPETENT PIECES OF SHIT. They created a main character that makes no sense, wrote storylines that go nowhere, created characters that just wandered about in a haze of confusing and conflicting motivations, and just generally made shit up for no reason, with no idea of where they were going.
FUCK THIS SHOW and FUCK THE MOTHERFUCKERS who thought this was fucking ENTERTAINMENT. Goddamn them.
I probably should have put spoiler tags around that but sadly, like whoever wrote that last episode,I simply don't really care about my audience.

I now feel QUITE good about my decision to abandon the show in the middle of last season. :01:

Re: Last one to post wins the internets
I watched The Blacklist and although Spader's clearly having a good time, the show itself didn't make even the tiny, tiniest bit of sense.
I also watched Agents of S.H.I.E.LD. and it got me thinking how superhero movies basically live or die on the strength of their main character and to a lesser degree the FX and this show has neither.
The fact that it's unbelievably poorly cast and Disney level network friendly doesn't help either.
Seriously, the next time a character is forced to say "toobox" instead of "douchebag ", someone is going to get hurt.
Finally I finally watched an episode of Breaking Bad and although admittedly wonderfully directed, both the acting and writing left something to be desired.
I'd wager the fascination ,like a lot of current cable shows which feature evil people doing evil things, is simply akin to staring at a car crash.
Now at least I know what you lot do in your spare time.

Just find the busiest intersection in your town, and it'll be there, right in the middle.
Go. Play. Find it.

Giving this serious consideration.

Two of my three TV's have internets. :snooty:
Living room example. That little guy has a Intel SU2300 Dual-Core, 4GB of RAM, and a 750GB laptop drive inside. It runs XBMC and plays everything I throw at it like a boss. Even has a little VESA mounting bracket so I can attach it to the back of the TV and hide it, but since it's on the polar opposite side of the home as the router, wifi suffers when it's back there, hence it's current location. Highly recommended tho.
They allowed me to cut the cable almost a year ago, saving me about $100/month (£2). I stream everything now and never miss a show.

Yeah, and I bet you sit there watching all three at the same time, just like Grandad out of 'Only Fools & Horses'.

Re: Last one to post wins the internets
Can't be arsed to look up 'Only Fools & Horses', but no, I don't. They're obviously in different rooms of the house. Though if it were possible, I might watch them all at once on football days. :smilie4:

Re: Last one to post wins the internets
i watch everything on my netbook or my phone :emo:

Re: Last one to post wins the internets
Put XBMC on that new netbook and add the 1channel repo. You'll never download anything again. It's the mecca of content.

IIRC it went: 1. Passing old lady whilst... 2. Popping unintentional wheelie due to pumping too hard. 3-4. Front wheel coming down on oil slick (or something else that was wet and slippy) whilst old lady wobbles into my rear wheel and/or pannier bag (not sure which happened first). 5. Bike going in the direction old lady pushed it, me going forward, hands first. 6. Left pinky dislocated and broken. Several fingers sprained. Both elbows sprained. 7. Faceplant. Face bruised. 8. "Owowowow....I'm fine." [@bystanders] 9. Back up on the bike. Tunnel vision. Trying to pop the finger back into place whilst cyling home, by gripping the handlebars and pushing down on it with my other hand. (Did not know I broke it.) 10. FIN.
You'd laugh.
You callous bastard.

Re: Last one to post wins the internets
I'd have the decency to only laugh behind your back though.:)
Anyway a point you raise there that I've found to oddly hold true in most accident situations is that a person's first concern, even before their own health,is to minimize their embarrassment.
"Whoops.Tripped in front of a streetcar and had my leg severed.Hope nobody saw that"
Please explain this strange reflex to me using the Darwinian Theory of Evolution if possible.
If you can't scientifically explain it then just make something up as I'm pretty easily fooled by evil glib people.

Re: Last one to post wins the internets
I was in a race once when carbon fibre handlebars were still sort of new and a guy snapped his clean off and did a faceplant into his front wheel.
The good news is that his face absorbed almost all of the impact and he didn't seem to be the slightest bit embarrassed .:)

You signal the fleshlight, and I shall respond.
Darwinian traits have just as much to do with propagation of the species (perhaps even more) as it does with personal survival. Considering this, the collectively more vain of our species would be more successful with mating, thus vanity makes for a beneficial trait with respect to the continuation of the human species. This applies throughout the animal kingdom, where I can cite grooming and showmanship as typical examples among a variety of species.
The Swede's instinct in this case was to be less concerned over injury, and more concerned over remaining in sexual favor with the elderly woman in the off chance she is not yet barren.

Why did you neglect to mention that there was absolutely nothing worth watching in that video? I can make many leaping assumptions as to why Idol didn't mention it, but you have a responsibility as a first responder, and that's saving lives minutes of our time.

I think the IMDB score is quite inflated, but at least a Godzilla (knockoff) movie made a modern monsters-destroy-cities and destroy stuff in CGI not involving pie plates, string, model trains, and smoke grenades. Also, absence of Mathew Broderick was a plus.
The Asian chick was pretty hawt, too.

No interest in watching it as I assume an action movie that doesn't even have enough good bits to make a 30 second commercial promoting it interesting is going to suck and not in good way.
Personally even though the genre has been done to death,I'd have preferred del Toro had made a movie based on his The Strain.
Having said that while looking up how to spell Guillermo I see that they're making a TV movie out of it which sort of reinforces a point some author made about all the better stuff currently going to cable TV(Breaking Bad,GoT,Homeland etc) and all the schoolboy stuff going to movies.A direct reversal of how things use to be and an indication that adults basically stay in now and that George Lucas needs to be shot .

Almost watched that last night as well. Ended up with the new Star Trek movie instead. Iz aight. Plot is a bit of a stretch, even for Star Trek.

Ikr. "Oh no, we've tried everything. I guess we are dooooomed." "Wait, I remember, we've got this GIANT pointy thing. Let's try stabbing them instead of punching... Might just work as a LAST resort." "Whoa, worked MUCH better than I thought. Let's try slicing them with it, too..." :slap:
