Jesus Fucking Christ.Apparently a Michigan woman is suing the producers of the movie Drive because the advertising led her to believe that it would be like The Fast and the Furious and it wasn't.

That's Texas for you. Ever considered moving? In time?
Maybe Nazi Germany would suit you better.

And don't forget that you can't wring the green out of snot stains, the deadbeat frivolous plaintiffs won't pay their legal fees. Basically this law only affects to curb frivolous lawsuits from respectable peoples, who as chance has it, don't file frivolous lawsuits. Fucking genius, ain't that the truth texas.

$200 billion dollars a year on law suits, what is the 'little guy' on crack ? The world economy is going to hell in a hand basket and the U.S. profligately wastes $200 billion a year on civil law suits ?

Only a judge can deem a lawsuit as frivolous, and they may not even do so unless it has been petitioned for after the case and by the defendant, if they lose. I think it's pretty sound.

Re: Last one to post wins the internets
My first girlfriend's name was April, I have no idea why I had such an affinity towards the name; she turned out to be a bitch. Facebook tells me she's now a fat bitch with kids.
-
Re: Last one to post wins the internets
So the only difference is the kids then.

If we were to assume that's true, then what'd be the problem with that? In reality I prefer 'em petite, luckily I don't live in Texas where the chances of coming across one are slimmer than in most states.
-
Re: Last one to post wins the internets
April is the cruelest munt.
Anybody see wot I did there? No?

Yeah, I gave up on that one about 4 years ago.
I'm sticking with nazi. Good old nazis never let me down.

Re: Last one to post wins the internets
So basically the legislature of Texas have decided it'd be better if Texans sorted out their personal disputes without involving the judiciary... well now there's a surprise

Art, you ever walk any of the Te Araroa? A buddy and I are kicking around the idea of putting together a trip in a few years to do a 10-day (or so) hike. We just need to get past the sticker shock of the airfare.

Rather that drumbeat never gets old, it's like listening to my classic rock station... in moderation. Also, getting you miffed was already accomplished, say a couple of weeks ago. Now I just need to be certain you don't enjoy a single post of mine. Giving you advice about your computer problems, then watching you not only fail to comprehend it properly and follow through, but rather you decide to suddenly switch gears and spend more money, that was beautiful beautiful icing.

The track will not be complete till the end of the year, 3000km in 10 days though what kind of energy bars do you guys use ? The Milford Track here in the Marlborough Sounds is a world famous walking track though along with several others that have world heritage status.
Without sounding like a tourist brochure, the country has some truly awe inspiring scenery including Glaciers, a large alpine range some amazing geothermal activity, absolutely awesome fishing and great weed.

Good luck with all that. I honestly don't give a shit. Keep your non-Lounge posts on-topic and you're fine in my book, regardless of your opinions of me, Texas or anything else.

We're not talking about doing the entire walk, just a section. Which part we don't know just yet. The Milford Track rings a bell tho'... may have read something about that.
I like to be where the people are not. Peace and quiet are what I'm after. Do you recommend one over the other, or is that too general given the range of those trails?

Cut the bullshit. You haven't the credibility to make any of those claims sound remotely believable.
