Yes, foobar is awesome. I have been using it a while now and it is miles better than winamp. Reasons in posts above. I think I still have winamp installed but I will not have it in a few minutes :whistling

lol, where can i get foobar from? is the latest version the best at the mo? Using itunes at the mo and that takes like 10-15 seconds to load up and it depends on the amount of song that you have.

Winamp's too entrenched in my computer habits for me to switch.


The same goes for media player classic (old wmp 6 beforehand).



That being said, Foobar's foo_dop plugin so I don't have to use iTunes with my iPod is kinda nice.

There are differences, if you listen closely,some music will have cymbals sounds that will be missed with winamp and foobar. But the source must be lossless or from a cd. If it is in mp3, these details will probably be removed already

i used winamp only..its my favourite for audio..i just tried foobar .i think they should get a goodlloking skin..then the player will be more popular
