I know it's not allowed to "demand" people to give you rep for an invite, but I've seen a lot people request people to rep them in giveaways and I know I've heard of people who ask people to rep them after they give an invite through PM... is that allowed? Even people who say "if you give me rep, your chances of getting invited", etc.
If so, can it be disallowed and can I report it? It's not only annoying, but it's kind of rude and requesting the rep is not really earning it - thus making rep completely inaccurate in showing the decency of a member. In a way, it is kind of forcing people to add rep because though it's stated as a suggestion, the people interested in the invite(s) have little choice in the matter.
I've been seeing a rising amount of giveaways like that recently, just wondered the stance on it...
I completely agree. That seems questionable to me as well. Especially the types that have "no longer trade" in their sig and are handing out a bunch of low level trackers to anyone who asks in hopes they will get enough rep points and karma through giveaways to then request a top level site. :ghey:
Those requesting any rep prior to giving an invite should be reported. If they suggest those that give rep are more likely to get the invite they should be reported also. These situations arent acceptable. Those that ask for rep politly after giving an invite is acceptable...
it's good idea
but I have 26 Reputation
why it's write 25 reputation?
please fixed it and fix my posts I have 144 posts no 142 posts
please fixed it for me now
Why do i have "trusted trader :) (nice organization)" in my BT Rep?
Who the hell is this stupid guy "(+.[___]·:·)"?
I'm not a trader so can a mod delete that Rep?
Thanks!
those who do it for the points will not get what they are after, if i could id already have 20+ points from making accounts on sites and idling them until the sites become invite only. then the invitee/new owner of acc. will try and do the same.
ps: i just randomly remembered the sound of Resident evil when you exit the menu and go back to gameplay
That Rep Points thing, in my opinion, is a biblical proportions disgrace. At least how works now, other thing would be a system like that stoi proposed.
And I´ve read a lot of complains about tricky RP, people who has never traded have comments like "good trader", etc. That should be forbidden, or give the user the capability of accepting or deny the RP before it appears in his profile.
yeah zaa was going around giving 'good trader' reps to people a while ago, for example the WTAW
Anyone giving invites to sites, whether high or low level, should look at a users post history rather than rep points. It's already painfully easy to game the system by offering up seed hours, since it's never hard to find people who want them, they're easier to get than low-level invites, and you don't carry the risk you do from inviting someone to a site.
Join Date 03-18-07 Total Posts 8 With no rep points here does that mean I am the wrong sort of person to be given an invite ?
Prob a good job I don't need invite to any the top sites here then :)
I aint the one wishing for ftn :P
Just clearly shows that neither rep or posts here make you any better a prospect for an invite to top sites in the list here
anyone hoping to get ftn with 100+ rep points is just dreaming. those are the few things in life that money can't buy.... for everything else there's MC :P.
no but really, its not something that you get just for having that.
when you realize some things, you might even earn it before you know it. but idk meh, life's painful brodahs :01:
Could not really care if I never get any rep points here to be honest as they do not mean you are a good member of sites. As for the top sites been there done that and still got some of the accounts let some die thru inactivity due to not being my cup of tea so to speak others I am still a member of even after 18 months or 2 yrs. People can check me profile here and seen I been a member for a while and made a few posts but I was member of the top sites b4 I was a member here.
Thanks For This information
great idea :) for rep points
great work
great!good work ...
I must say that rep points are not relevant indeed.
why not??? sometimes... are very relevant!!! but somethimes...not!
i think it's useful in sometime because in some giveaways some people ask for rep
points . so useful or not it helps
great!
to me rep points mean nothing!
rep shmep lol
it really doesnt matter. ppl are good or bad
yes, rep points is a good way to see if you are a good member, ofcourse that what really matters is your behaviour in every post but having rep points can help the others to trust you a little bit more
More about what you post then going by BT rep. My point of view.
Posted in rules
Points are ONLY given by members with invite access.
Edit: Members have been breaking that rule a lot lately!
Thank you tesco.
more points don't mean better chance to get in a tracker
