"The Good Liar" is a delightful movie.
Watching The Office on Netflix, forgot how funny this show was!!!
So I really liked "Fortunate Son". Except for the ending, it felt very rushed. I think an extra episode to tie up everything and give it more color wouldn't have killed the production budget.
Hopefully there will be a second season; it feels like the final scenes set up at least the possibility.
Unbelievable
After a teen reports being raped, then recants her story, two female detectives follow evidence that could reveal the truth. Based on a true story.
Somewhat oddly, since I'm several decades past being a kid, I found the Shawn the Sheep movie, Farmageddon, quite watchable and with lots of subtle jokes and references: https://www.theguardian.com/film/201...review-aardman
Bombshell
i just wonder why they didnt get better looking actresses to play the parts of the fox news hotties.
"Richard Jewell"... Clint Eastwood got it right. :(
(Anyone falsely accused of anything might want to watch this one... very powerful!) :alien:
Locke and Key is an interesting but strange scifi, im 2 episodes in and intrigued!
Re-watched... "Aliens"... Excellent! :)

Okay Idol... another favorite of mine... same movie:

R.I.P. Bill Paxton (Private Hudson) He will be missed. :(
Finished Binging HBO's "The Outsider".... ehhh... episode 10 was not bad... they did have a snake, sniper and a cave. (Ralph was a dick until episode #8 too.)
You are very correct Idol, you can't squeeze any of Stephen King's novels into a freak'in TV season at least from what I've seen. Bring back Sinise as Stu! ;)
Save perhaps 1 or 2 movies.
(Lets not get into the whole George R. R. Martin debacle... "A Song of Ice and Fire", which was adapted into the HBO series Game of Thrones. I'm still waiting for his "The Winds of Winter" and the final volume "A Dream of Spring".) :)
I like him too! :)
Hey... I woke up about 1:25am this morning... heard voices... rubbed my eyes and proceeded to living room...
The wifey had "Contagion" (2011) playing on the streaming box... watched a few minutes and went back to bed.
She said she couldn't sleep... maybe it was all the crap that happened that day.
Has anyone else seen it? Maybe I'll watch a bit more Monday when she's gone...
EDIT: Big mistake. :(
I watched the four seasons of the Expanse on Amazon over the last few weeks and I really liked the series, I will start reading the books soon to get more out of it, and to shorten time until Season five is released, which hopefully won't be delayed due to the current evolving crisis, but hey if it will be delayed then so be it, fighting this virus is more important
Into The Night (1985) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089346/
Jeff Goldblum, Michelle Pfeiffer, director Jon Landis as an Iranian terrorist before Iranian terrorists were actually a thing and most importantly a brilliant if small bit by David Bowie as a hitman.
Similar vibe to Kiss,Kiss Bang Bang or 2 Days in the Valley. Comedy mixed with violins.

Sunday's fare included ... "The Current War" - Directors Cut and "Amazing Stories" Season 1 Episode 3 .."Dynoman and the Volt"
Both were enjoyed by us both! :)
(Now... I never believed in coincidence but, both have something to do with electricity... after the first movie...I heard a loud knock on the door in the 3D world having to do with electricity... long story... anyway we then watched the second show .... the title's... mama always said, "Everything has a reason.".... Just haven't figured it out yet. Dunno... but I think something else is in the works.) :alien:
"The Gentleman" & "Blow The Man Down" We enjoyed both good stories.
(Now we might know why I rent bits & bobs of me farm.) :alien:
So what's this "Tiger King" craze about? Seems like everyone around my neighborhood has been watching it...
Bert Kreischer did a big thing about it on Joe Rogan's podcast and even Seth Meyers alluded to it in his monologue. People like to watch freaks, I guess.
Dion says that he was disappointed to find that As I Lay Dying wasn't about necrophilia.
Rookie mistake, attributable to ESL. Clearly the title would have been "As (S)he Lay Dying".
Didn't expect to, but really like Farmageddon. Lots of references and subtle jokes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RecHCOkgOvI
That Sonic movie wasn't half-bad.. Or maybe my standards are beginning to slip in week 3 of quarantine.
"The Call of the Wild" (2020) followed by Amazing Stories (2020) S1E5 "The Rift" ...both were well enjoyed! :)
Titanic Waltz (1965)
"Stand By Me" (1986) 1080p [Remastered] (Thanks again Cabby!) [Adaption of SK's "The Body".]
-Also-
"Ferris Bueller's Day Off" (1986) 1080p ...found a (Remastered or Remuked) 5.1 audio copy a bit over 25gb*!
i found out the ex had never seen it! So, I had to make it special, as the music in the end sequence is so critical! Those two films will never get old!!! ;)
*Worth every byte! ;)
Just got to luv you some...Rodney! ;)

Doing stand up sitting down. You know just a couple of guys talking and wham wham wham and you are holding you sides from laughing.
Watched... "Penny Dreadful City Of Angels S01E01 Santa Muerte (2020)" The ex liked it... (Which is unusual.) ...I nodded off after 15 minutes. Given my sleep schedule is way off...
I'll give it another go tomorrow. (I liked the old one, she did not... witches, vampires werewolves, oh my, they even threw a few frankenstein monsters in for good measure... what's different about this?
The original Penny Dreadful is one of my favourite shows of the last decade but not feeling City of Angels at all. Might be the LA setting or the story or the frequent nods to woke culture but anywho me no likey.
Sort of part American Gods, part True Detective Season 2, part Hunters with a little Milagro Beanfield War sprinkled in. The original Penny Dreadful was almost poetic at times. City of Angels seems to tend more to the crassly 'merican.
I'm sure it will get better but I doubt it comes close to the original - see currently 58% on Rotten Tomatoes, 40% top critics.
So I just acquired season 2 of "Das Boot" (the 2018 reboot)...
High hopes for that one. :)
It was only my personal opinion on episode 1 which means literal nothing to anyone other than myself. Like I've been crank calling radio stations for years trying to get people to agree with me that Nicklelback is the greatest band of all time but apparently I'm in the minority. I mean like seriously, Led Zeppelin? Robert Plant wasn't even ever married to Avril Lavigne.
