As to the former, it seems odd to report on this 'severing' so thoroughly while failing to recount the specific 'slur' so the reader could entertain the idea as the school district did in reaching it's decision.

A flaw in the ointment, so-to-speak.

To the latter; it only seems to make strategic sense for the Left to erase the history it seems intent on repeating.

I tend to agree with you about the slur. That's why I tried to find further information. So that I could judge for myself. As for "rebroadcasting" the slur, whatever malice there might have been it's in the original intent not in the words themselves.
