Armed Services recruitment is way up under Trump - we'll have plenty of manpower to defend Canada, if needed.

I hear deals are being discussed whereby we'd be willing to accommodate two Canadians who wish to live in the US for each member of the entertainment community who actually moves to Canada.

Win/win.

I've also heard there's a back-door deal in the works between Canada and Ireland to force Rosie O'Donnell back to Canada where she belongs; apparently she's causing a lot of socio-cultural upset over there.

Oh. and Ukraine and the U.S. signed a mineral rights deal - bad news, eh?

Based on the NY Times article, the deal actually sounds fair in both directions. The initial demands from Trump were insane but have been backed off significantly.

I believe the only reasonable thing to do with Rosie is send her to space. Not as a space tourist but actually eject her out of a rocket and see if she can eventually catch up with Musk’s car.

Recruitment needs an asterisk in those numbers. Finding qualified candidates is getting so difficult that there are a large number of waivers being granted. These are for people to overweight to meet standards, as well as not meeting minimum educational requirements. These waivers allow for a delayed start with the goal to ultimately meet those standards.

Additionally, the attrition rate has been nearly 25% of Recruits quitting before the first two years.


The good news is with Trump’s economy collapsing quickly, more people will be encouraged to join the military.

I live in Canada. Anti-American sentiment even among the apolitical is at an all-time high. The response to being pushed is almost always to push back, innit.
