I keep things seeding for weeks usually unless something's really taking up a lot of HD space
I try to seed as much as possible.
i normally seed 100-120 percent, :D
I thought I'd just point out that 80% is misleading, it should be 100%-150%, because most n00bs and even tracker rules usually find 1:1 to be the minimum.
I dont know if ill be considered a leecher but i only upload in seed mode if the speed is higher than 30kb/sec within an hour after my download finished. If not i check back later.
But my ratios on all my sites are atleast 1:1.9

Verajohn maybe want to see if firewall is blocking ports or if you're on a router to visit portforward and forward the ports for your router sounds like your not connectable.
Im seeding some at over 2500% but its probably best to just seed 100% to give everyone a chance.
i seed everything i've downloaded all the time so far.
I usually try to seed to 300% unless it's a really popular file. I've seeded a Firefly pack up to 3500% the last two weeks. :P

is seed as long as the torrent is alive :D or have a ratio above 5.000 at them :D
I think ratio isn't so important, but how long do you seed the torrent. I usually seed to 1:1.
i seed always to 1.100

i try to keep all the uploads active all the time not erasing them, at least its something.

upload the same amount you downloaded == not leecher
account with buffer == not leecher
there is no 150% rule, the main idea of file sharing is to upload what you downloaded back, not to upload crazy amount of it. buffer is good thing to download big files, and not risk in banning, making you enough time to seed back what you got.

i try to get 1:1 per torrent unless im trying to improve my ration, in that case i go for 300%. its kind hard to seed back over 100% when your upload is 1/7 of your dl. dam ips
i like to get my account to a power user status and then maintain it as that. i usually seed 150-250% of what i dl. I archive some in case seeder are requested.
I dont really agree with people that seed to a ridiculously high ratio cos the rest find it hard to seed back before the torrent dies, i like to let other users seed and help them get to a decent user rank instead of struggling on user. Torrent communities are about sharing

Woh! How can people seed up to 500% if there are no leechers. Torrent sites need leechers too.
