I got to say that Half-Life & his brothers (Opposing Force, Team Fortress ..) are my favourite FPS games. Then, i really like to play CS sometimes, and Day of Defeat also.

Multiplayer - CS 1.6, there is nothing like it, no gimmicks in the game to cheapen the feel
Singleplayer - Deus Ex, System Shock 2, Far Cry, Half Life 1&2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SoC.
