The sooner they realize that they have limited options in life and are on an inescapable path to uniformity the better I say.
However, much of society is based upon the masses believing that they can overcome the (extreme) odds against them, and that they, with their limited intellectual and physical resources, can somehow break free of this structure and be an "individual". At least it's fun to watch...
Any ( US citizen type)person with a dream and 100+ million dollar war-chest , the backing of several highly influential individuals and a massive and unprincipled PR machine behind them can be President after all.
