If it's from a public tracker, usually just to about 0.8 - 1.2 unless it's really good or I love it, like a Linux distro :P
On private trackers, it differs. Usually just before I think Im overseeding.
i dunno. i just got a seedbox last month and I did 1,500% on one 600mb torrent, which is insane. i try and do at least 150 but sometimes i'll just trash them if i'm running out of slots

Usually I manage to seed up to 140%-150%, more of the are plenty of leechers.
I usually seed up to 300-400%, sometimes more, rarely less. It's my way to show respect to the uploader and the community.

hm, according to my current µTorrent stats my ratio is 6.532. (1351 GB up, 207 GB down)

i just leave stuff going, and I download stuff from Usenet too, so torrents aren't my only source.

I usually seed to 200-300% hence avoid overseeding. But on sites where ratio doesn't matter, i usually keep torrents alive as long as my harddisk allows me to do so lol.

I do leeching around 20%-30% I do a lot of seeding it is just because I need to build buffer and I always love seeding...
Though my connection for uploading is crap around 56KBps...DOwnload has 2Mbps... that way I seed longer than I download....
My PC is on 24/7 and so is uTorrent, so I just leave everything seed until there's just too many torrents open (I do a monthly cleanup of torrents). I usually get to a ratio of 3 to 5 / torrent (I managed to go up to 66 on a porn movie :blink:).
For me it varies. I try to hit 150% if at all possible but I've had some under 100% and others over 300%. If a file has lots of seeders, I'll turn off seeding in order to let uTorrent concentrate my seeding on others where there are few seeders. My bandwidth for uploading gets shared of course, so I'd rather concentrate it on files where there are few seeders rather than ones with 50 or more.

Basically, the tracker has little to no impact on my decision to seed. It typically takes me days (sometimes weeks) to get around to watching something anyway, so I don't have to even think about HnR rules. Then again, these may just be habits of a primarily usenet user.

I seed torrents from well seeded trackers for as much as required 48 Hours / 1:1 maybe 1:1/5 ratio ... for Desi trackers ( BWT DT BanglaTorrents) which has really poor seeders , i have some 2 years old torrents still seeding .. Ratio > 50 .

Even if you have a crappy line, it's manageable over time if there are people leeching that stuff - I have some public torrents (moderate to large files) in my client with ratios on the 30s and beyond.Quote:
