Of course. You can set it up as dual boot the way I have it in my system.
@fstrulz Never heard of the mint edition till now. It does look elegant like the website says.
I didnt enable 3d + transparency in my beryl as well as the window thumbnails. Didn't find it too practical. Useful tho when showing it off to friends. I might try out Compiz fusion soon but i heard its pre-installed when Gutsy is released a few days from now
Actually, I find kde's interface girlierQuote:
running kubuntu at the moment as Gnomes for girls http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/../.....es/smilie4.gif nice use of beryl if that's what's on top http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/../.....es/smilie4.gif
Well DX how about some details on what should i get, perhaps in PM
I'd advice that you get Linux Mint. As I mentioned before, it is the best "out-of-the-box" distro - You just download it, burn it, then install it in few simple steps... It'll also automatically give you an option to make a dual-boot, so you can have more than 1 OS in your computer... It also comes with the best and most essential apps available out there for Linux: OpenOffice.org (MS Office alternative), Gimp (Photoshop alternative), Pidgin (Yahoo + AIM + MSN + IRC + ICQ all-in-one messenger/client), Beryl (3D environment), Gnome (simple and light windows desktop evironment), etc... It is also based on Ubuntu. So if anytime you have any questions, you can go to ubuntuforums.org and interact with millions of other Ubuntu users in the forums.
@DX Yeah, I'm not a KDE fan also... It does look more girly (than Gnome) and I don't like seeing the letter K all over the place. :D

^^ Have a question fstrulz
I've never used a dock like what you have in your screenshot. Wouldn't the dock be covered when you maximize your windows?
