Kaspersky has a free AV version. Not all the bells and whistles as the paid version but the AV engine is the same

MSE, in my opinion all of them are more or less the same.

Haven't read all the pages but the few I have, haven't mentioned Eset. From my experience, it the lightest but still effective!

I use the free version of Bitdefender, it rarely interrupts but does the job, unlike Avast sheesh it was driving me nuts.
