How Long Have You Been Pirating Software

I never got serious about pirating until about 2001. I got on sharereactor with ED2k. The rest is history.

Been about 7 years now

Probably about 3-4 years.

Im over 80 years old and Ive been downloading since 1945.

think 7 years already :P

I started like in 2001

Since 1999, when I got my first computer.

Started a little bit with Napster. It died. Went on to Kazaa -> Kazaa Lite -> Bearshare/Limewire/Bearshare Lite/Morpheus, you name it -> Went to TPB in the early days, then Torrentbytes -> Then on to better trackers where I am at the moment. So that would probably be 5+ years. :)

it has deffinently been well over 5 yrs, i would say around 8 yrs and winmx was my baby.

I'd say 2-3 years, ever since I began to spend my whole day on the internet.

For software, it's been about 10 years now...maybe a little bit more.

what does 'pirating software' here imply?

are you talking about actually cracking software?

or just acquiring softwares that otherwise require you to pay good money for, in a free way?

if it's the latter, then I would say I have been acquiring these materials ever since RealPlayer 8 was released. that was when i popped my keygen cherry. i remember the maker, GanJaMaN, from CORE, probably the most successful RE group to have every existed.

So, that was in the beggining of 2001. (Around about the time when RealNetworks released their version 8 Plus Player).

I remember that on begining i downloaded only mp3s because of my sloww internet connection xD

i started on the last legs of kazaa. man things have gone up hill since then. I didn't have the internet til i joined the military and got to my first base. I was nineteen then and am 26 now.

if you really thing about it, everybody here are internet veterans. taker in count, that the www only went global in in the 90's. for fucks sake, we are running on KB/s speeds, ridiculous. soon enough it will be GB/s.
