120GB on desktop, 40GB on laptop. Old stuff :(
2x 160 GB, 1X250GB and 1x320gb on other pc
250gb + 320gb + 400gb + 500gb
keep everything but make backup of TV series/game/whatever. internal 200GB and 500GB, external 500GB and 750GB so I guess 2 TB
I'm so old school that I still have over 400gb of 500 gb my c:/ left . I'v never trusted computers so always backup to dvd or my 320 gb external .
Probably because my first system was a 850 mb Fujitsu and thought I died and went to heaven when I purchased my 4 gb hdd Quantum FireBall . Oh boy the good old days .
I have got about 700gb intern and just some usb sticks to cover my external needs;-)
4.15TB across 11 drives.
I am a packrat.
Getting ready to get a 1TB external drive, but for now I've got a 200GB Internal and a 250GB External. I have to delete old stuff all the time in order to download new stuff.
1x200GB
1x320GB
1x500GB
1x1TB
Total: 2TB
I just bought 2 new 1TB drives... its great how cheap it has become. until now I allways deleted movies after watching. But this will stop now ;)
1x80gb, 1x160gb , 1x320gb in my old comp. 1x640gb, 2x1tb in new comp. So 3200gb, probably ~2tb free though at the moment :)
currently 2TB
2x160gb and 500gb
Free space is wasted space.
I have approx. 200gigs free of my 4.15TB.
320GB and 100GB it`s a free space.
200gb
I have 1x120 GB, 1x500 GB and 1x1TB.
I have about 1.2 TB. 1TB on NAS 80GB on extral usb and 120 GB on my laptop
Well I currently have 1 TB. Although I should buy a new external with 1.0 TB..thinking of getting a WD.
I have about 400 Gb and wanting to buy more (1TB, or may be even 2)
860 GB - 200 GB it's a free space
Don't get a WD. At least not a "WD My Book". The disk itself is good and all, but the drive has no off button. It starts automatically when your pc starts and goes in standby mode while it's not being accessed for a while. That might be great for some people, but for me it's a real pain. It delays software that only sporadicly accesses the drive.
Also with my configuration, my pc won't start when the drive is plugged in. I get stuck in my bios start up in that case. I hear many other people have the same problem with this drive.
5tb+.
over 9000 TB
Western Digital Caviar SE 16 WD7500AAKS (750 Gb, SATA2)
500Gig inside the PC, 320 Gig in the laptop, 2 TB total external drives. I buy drives instead of dvds / cds :)
500Gig on external drive+120Gigs on laptop.
about 600 gigs
I've got 0.00201PB of space. :)
It's enough for my needs. I'm deleting the movies when the drives start to get crammed, so it doesn't really matter.Spoiler: Show2.01TB :happy:
gonna add another TB come end nov...
you probably have a gigabyte motherboard. gigabyte mbs are notorious for not being able to boot properly with excessive usb devices plugged in, not just HDDs.
and speaking about the on/off button thing, well i think wd drives are just fine. u'll get used to the on/off thing. personally i dont plug the power cable in unless i need to access the disk.
2.5 TB
about .5 is free...
120 gb :(
Now i have about +/- 800gb, and more coming ;)
5TB now, probably....oh, half of it free.
I have lots of sorting to do - grandchildren are hard on storage.
Nice to have the space, or do something else (as they say). :whistling
pc 160 GB + 500 GB
80+320+160+160
NAS drive 4tb
Internal:
60GB = caches/scratch disks for CS4
80GB = operating system/program files/general net storage
320GB = temporary storage for Torrents/games installations
250GB = photos/mp3s
= 710GB
External:
80GB = mobile movie storage for the PS3; other PCs
1TB = permanent Torrent storage
150GB = backups for photos
I'm a photographer hence the need for 2 drives for photos.
= 1.230TB
Will probably add another TB when hard drives go on sale for Boxing Day on the 26th of December, hehe... what will I do with another TB? Not sure...but I do have an extra PCI SATA controller card with 4 ports on the way... :D
ALmost 4TB
